Spartans flying the flag for Edinburgh as they skelp County 1-0 (makes me feel a little better about us losing to them)

Ayr also enjoying another win continuing their 100% win record in the league, beating Accies 3-2 today, them and Falkirk leading the way as the teams to beat in the Championship.

Spartans has to be the result of the day. Hearts will not be a factor this season unless they bring in a real management team because Naysmith isn’t the man to make them competitive. Ok he got them 3rd last season but that was more because Killie & St M were their nearest challengers who exceeded their own expectations and everyone else was garbage.

Dundee are my tip for third this season unless a bigger club tempts Doc out of there.

Spartans have a good cup run formula going, hard to break down and good at nicking a goal, St Johnstone managed a cup double doing the same thing. That's their last 3 cup games they've managed to win playing that way, bit of luck getting the right draw and who knows how far they can go.

Though they deserve a big payday against one of the erse cheeks too, good luck to them.
