Pitman is out due to suspension but I think Hipplolyte may be available. His two match ban is in the Championship. After Dumbarton he would have missed the next game whichever competition we played in but I think the next one he misses is in the league since that was the competition he was sent off in. So according to my reckoning he will miss QoS on Saturday.
But I stand to be corrected.

4-0 to that scummy mob and Warburton having a bourbon biscuit to celebrate, the boring fuck. FG 7 mins.

I see Halliday saying this is Livi's cup final playing deadco, hasn't taken him long to get into the  Billy big time dillusion about the zombies. They're in the same league as us, why the feck would we think it's a cup final playing them, clown!

Wonder if it was Alloa's cup final playing them last season, or was playing Livi in the actual cup final their cup final?

Hope our players have seen that pish and get stuck right in about the arrogant pricks, they're scraping results just now lets stuff them.

Unfortunately I have a strange feeling that we won't end the game with 11 player on the pitch.

I thought this but multiple news sources saying they're both out.

Due to shortage of players we only had 6 players on the bench on Sat... looks like that'll be down to 5 tonight, not really much backup.

Errrrm because no team from a higher division competes in this cup?? We all know it's not the actual final but it is a common phrase when a struggling team plays one that is strolling it most weeks. Can't really say it bothers me.

Doing better than expected to be level at half time. Seen nothing particularly wonderful from them but we have had a few forays that have seen them scrambling a bit. Expect we will not be able to maintain it.

Decent strike for the goal and while it looked like McCallum possibly could have saved it, the wet surface probably helped it get past him.

Again we had som decent possession without really creating a real chance.

I saw a guy in a Rangers tracksuit reaching into a bin at the bottom of Argyle Street this afternoon. Don't have much else to contribute to this thread unfortunately. We were never winning that tonight.

Do you think Celtic players would be coming out with that crap if  Dundee Utd played them in a cup comp, just arrogant claptrap. You'd think it was a top Premiership team playing a League2 side not two Championship teams, delusions of Grandeur from the evil dead. They aren't even as good as Hearts were last season.

Thought Buchill had us set up well defensively but we didn't have much in attack, although we had a few decent moves that just didn't quite come off to get a shot on goal. I still don't think Buchanan and White works and would've preferred Sheerin starting with one of them. Longridge and Millen did ok up the wings but they were always going to get outplayed at the back so we had Gordon, Gallagher & Neil covering for them with a flat back 3, meant a CB could go out to the wing and we'd still have one in the centre with the other covering the other wing. It kept Sevco restricted for most of the game and really frustrated them.

Can't believe I'm going to say this but Dallas let us off with a few early bookings and on the whole let Livi rough them up a bit. Actually thought we looked more like Dumbarton the way we blocked players off and pulled them back, maybe we've decided to toughen up a bit. Can't wait for the next time we play Dumbarton, it'll be a blood bath.

If we defended like that in league games we wouldn't lose many that's for sure, right now I'd be happy seeing us tighten right up at the back and set up to take at least a point from every game. Pretty sure we'd grab the odd win playing like that too.

Dallas was okay for us for a change; maybe the existence of the TV cameras made him think he'd better tone things down a bit.

Generally this season we may have defended well but with the occasional lapse; what really concerns me is how we continue to be so toothless in front of goal. White certainly shouldn't move away from the middle of the attack; he doesn't have the speed or reactions (twists and turns) to be of value on the wing whereas that extra bit of height in the centre could make a heap of difference - If he'd been in Buchanan's position last night when that swooping cross came in he may have been able to make contact and equalise.

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but Faria really entertains me. The opposition certainly know he's on the field; generates fear in some of their players and they start to try to avoid him. Bullying tactics maybe but quite effective at times.

As physical as we were last night we still have a fair bit in the tank to make up for McCulloch last year

Thought we were very disciplined last night and put in a very good performance, however we need goals to get the points in the league.

Below is the stats for all games this season

White 3 goals in 7 Starts 43% chance of scoring

Sheerin 2 goals in 5 Starts 40% chance of scoring

Buchanan 4 goals including 1 pen in 13 starts 31% chance of scoring

Buchanan has had a lot more starts than either White or Sheerin and it's time to give the two big guys a run of games. They are a handful for defenders as was shown against Queens Morton and Inverness, totally agree with Liviforever that these two could work. It appears Sheerin has been working in his weight too which is good. The % ratio is there to see too.

If I was the manager then it would be White and Sheerin starting against Queens on Saturday which is a must win game for Mr Burchill.

Well if he isn't going to play Buchanan where Glen played last night (in the hole behind the front two strikers) then I'd like to see White and Sheerin start. I keep thinking of Celtic when they had Hartson/Sutton/Larsson because of the similarities in build, and don't see why we can't play Sheerin/White/Buchanan.

I like Buchanan, his movement buzzing around is good and he does trouble defenders but we've not had a lot of goals so why not just change things to see how a different front 2 work.

I see Oduwa was taken off at HT after being battered about a bit (some tackle by Gibbons right at the start of the game) Smile, no sympathy for him or them after them cancelling the game when he was on international duty.

Last night White played behind Buchanan as it was it was 4-4-1-1 and he handled the position well.

Would like to go back orthodox 2 up on Saturday and yes if we play 3-5-2 Then yes play all three if them.

Play Pitman in front of Gibbons too who is far too rash and raw. He could easily have got sent off last night as that was a terrible tackle in under One minute of starting the game.

Aye a team that had Elbows McCulloch in it complaining about not getting protection from the ref, good one.

Normally I'd be hoping they get beat in their next game but it's against St Mirren so just our luck if us injuring Oduwa helps St Mirren get 3 points.

Yeah I do actually & it would probably be Leigh Griffiths that would say it given his Dundee connections. I agree that they are not as good as Hearts were last season but they will win this league easier than Hearts did.

I thought we played ok; threatened to threaten rather than actually create anything of note though. Dallas Junior may have done better than usual but why did he award the Huns a foul when Gibbons was pushed to the ground before the wee handbags situation?

Did you see Warburton complaining that his flair players need more protection? Man up Warburton!!!!

Never seen Celtic saying that before playing us when we were in the SPL and played them in cup comps then, nor have I seen them saying it about any other SPL/Premiership team, if they ever do though they'd be arseholes too. Signing for deadco has turned Halliday into an arrogant prick.

Deadco obv don't see themselves as a Championship team and have some delusion about being a Premiership team even though St Johnstone dispatched them without breaking sweat.

Apart from the GIbbons tackle were we that bad. I don't think we were any worse than than QoS, Dumbarton or St Mirren were playing us, wouldn't do us any harm being like that more often in games, we might not lose so many goals.

Oduwa was not injured. He played for the whole of the first half. He just didn't come out in the second half.

Quite frankly this hype over a mistimed tackle by a young player is OTT. But it was a Rangers player so what can we expect. I watched Scougall getting hacked week in week out by every team in the league and he just got on with it.

Yes the backlash has been over the top but Gibbons tackle was a disgrace let's not try to justify it.Also such a rash tackle so early in the game could easily have led to a red card which kills us before we even start. He dives into tackles far too much other than that though we were really disciplined in our performance.

The talk about the tackle takes away from our performance but the manager really needs to have a word with Gibbons because that's not the first time he has been reckless. We need all our players on the park at all times.

May have troubled him at HT once he'd stopped moving about. Not that I really give a toss right enough, it wasn't anything serious, a bit of swelling on the ankle prob and just needed some ice on it.
