I was stunned that they pulled this one out the hat. Didn’t think 3-0 1st leg defeat was a fair reflection on that game but couldn’t see them turning it round as I expected Barce to score.

Yep, they should've had a goal or two in the first leg with the chances they missed, and like you I thought Barca would score at least one goal so Liverpool would need at least five.
Near the end of the game I was thinking it would be heart breaking for the Liverpool fans if Barca scored now, and they went out on an away goal.
Fully deserved result for them, nobody seen it coming.

Spurs topping the Liverpool semi final with absolute scenes scoring at the death to go through on away goals, looked dead and buried at HT.

Yeah, gutted as Ajax are my favourite Dutch team & really should have seen it out after being 2-0 (3-0) up at HT but they haven’t won a home CL Knock out game since the mid 90’s .

Still think Liverpool’s is the better fight back though as they were playing Barcelona & Spurs played a pretty inexperienced Ajax side, who failed to win the home legs in the previous two rounds before upsetting the odds away from home. So Spurs being only one down from the first leg would have known they had a chance. That said it probably topped the drama of Anfield with the late winner.

Yeah, & they deserved it. Excellent team effort.

Ross County beating Motherwell, that one came as a surprise. Shows how just one win can change things, they scraped a win against St Mirren in injury time and it has given them a big lift to go on and gub an in form Motherwell, and jump above us in the league, that 4-1 gubbing they took from us is well behind them now.

Watford 3 Liverpool 0

Liverpool were poor against West Ham but managed to win. During that game I said that if they play as badly for the rest of the season then Man City will catch them... looks like they were worse today.

No chance City will catch them, that's their first league defeat of the season, can't see them losing another 7 games, which they'd need to do for City to have any hope.

Cracking display from Watford too, could've been a few more goals for them in that game.
