2 out of 3 aint bad, and Livi winning to make it count when the other teams slipped up.

Just notice Airdrie are in third place with a goal difference of minus 2?

And a point less than Alloa too.

East Fife's plus GD may come into it this weekend with them playing Airdrie and QP playing Brechin.

Things could get interesting with Brechin dropping out of the top 4 if they lose and Airdrie dropping down to 4th, QP moving up to 3rd. Maybe we'd beat QP if we played them when they were in the top 4, or it would be the first time we've lost to a top 4 side. Or even our first draw of the season!!!!

Just read on P&B on the Airdrie off season thread than Mensing is training with them, oh please let this be true and him and Boateng play together, i'd willingly pay double the £16 gate money to watch us play against them with that CB partnership.

I thought he was just about past it when he left us, I was shocked to see him move to the American second tier from us. He would definitely provide Airdrie with some much needed experience, but he's past it now to make a difference.

He was slow and a total bombscare in the last few games for us, prone to making fouls to compensate for his lethargic pace.

Just remember him scoring in his own net when DJ came for the ball and Mensing passed back towards an open goal. Boateng and Mensing would be as bad as Mensing and Cole for us *shudders at the thought*.

Would love to see Mensing and Boateng playing against us at Airdrie.

Brechin 3-1 QP

Looks like Alloa have decided to give us a challenge for the title, only 6 points in it now. We've 2 games in hand now but with our next 3 games against QP, AR & EF it could get interesting.

Hope the players are not feeling as jittery as I'm beginning to.

Alloa have also started eating into our GD advantage, we may have 2 games in hand but we need to ensure we win them or they will mean nothing.

This league is far from over and the way the weather has rearranged our matches could have a massive impact on our season.

I'm hoping we get a reaction from them after this challenge from Alloa, and that they want to make a statement by beating QP.

Hopefully this is QP's and East Fife's wee purple patch over too and just before we play tem both. Injuries and suspensions should start telling on these small squads, and this is where we should start to have an advantage.

An advantage that could get negated by our appalling pitch and a build up of rescheduled games...

Brechin beating Airdrie 2-0, they'll swap places with Brechin coming back into the top 4 play offs.

3-0 now, Airdrie dropping out of the top 4.

Just shows how tight it is below us and all the more concerning that Alloa have hit a good run of form.

As long as we keep our decent run of form going we'll be fine. 4 wins and 3 draws sandwiched in between 2 defeats to East Fife isn't terrible. If we get another 4 wins in our next 7 games we'll have the league won. Esp if we get the wins against Airdrie, Brechin and Alloa again.
