Pre Season Games

0-0 away to Dundee Utd, followed by a 2-1 away win against Killie this afternoon.

All about getting the players sharpened up for the start of the season but nice to see us getting a win today, and scoring a couple of goals. Forrest and Ambrose getting on the scoresheet with their first goals as Livi players too. Reading the match report Forrest seems to be fitting in well, and had a few shots on target.

Also interesting to note that we had no trialists today which kind of indicates Gary's happy with the squad he has (understandably).

After going 2 up through Dykes & SKA we were pegged back by Stewart & Fontaine to finish in a 2-2 draw at home to Ross Co

Forrest and SKA have settled in well. Fitzwater with an assist on the assist for Dykes goal is featuring in the starting line up. Not sure the actual selection in the backline, with Ambrose, Guthrie, Fitzwater & Brown all playing, one of Fitz & Brown is playing at FB opposite Devlin, dunno which is which.

Certainly plenty of options with McMillan & ATS looking to play in the FB positions too.

Poplatnik still hasn't played in any pre season games, and that was our last one before the league starts next Sat.

Is he carrying an injury? Or in a country that requires self quarantine on arrival in Scotland?

Think he's between arranging for his partner to come over, and trying to find somewhere to live, so dunno if that's the reason he hasn't played yet. Could be travelling back and forth between countries and having to go into isolation too right enough.

SKA looks a promising signing anyway, has looked impressive in these pre season games, so has Forrest. Looking forward to seeing what Poplatnik can do when he plays for us too.

Good that we're sticking to our guns and not taking the first offer for Dykes, with Barnsley making a cheeky 1M pound bid, our first league game can't come quickly enough, and hopefully Dykes is still here playing for Livi.
