Remember when St Johnstone couldn't buy a win. Up stepped Livi to kick start their season for them with a win at the Tony Macaroni.

Then there is Motherwell who haven't won a league game this year. Which team did they last beat? Uh huh, Livi on Boxing day.

I'm not sure there is any significance in those two facts but it is making me feel uneasy.  Rolling Eyes

Mind you it doesn't take much to make me feel uneasy when it comes to football. pale

Yeah Orco, especially when it comes to Livi football.

We have had a good couple of results in Perth recently but traditionally we don’t get good results there & Motherwell always gie me the fear as they too seem to beat us even when they are playing poorly.

Based on the way the season has gone I’d say 4 points would guarantee top 6 and 3 points might be enough but it is just as easy/easier to see us coming away with less than that as it is to see us achieving it, especially without our chief goal threat.

Shinnie  Shocked Chucky  Shocked  Shocked , Longridge and Bailey all scored in a reserves bounce game against Ayr, Chucky with an assist too. Hopefully it will transfer onto the first team games in the Premiership. We'll need goals spread around.

Aye last time we were in Perth we slaughtered them, agent Efe was playing in that game though, running into other St Johnstone defenders injuring them. lol!

Thought we'd have the advantage over Motherwell without Watt in their team, but now we've lost Anderson so who knows, hopefully with it being at home we'll get right in about them and score a few goals. Motherwell always seem to get away with kicking lumps out of us though, and going by the card count and bookings per fouls, we're going to get the usual first card of the game for our very first foul after the opposition have had 15 talking too's by the ref.

Clancy is the ref on Saturday. Last time  he reffed our game we got 7 yellows and a red for Montano. Can see him surpassing that as St Johnstone have become skilled in the art of diving in recent times. Chris Kane is their Martin Boyle. Mind you he hasn't featured for them lately. Injured maybe. 🤷‍

Big Nouble better watch out too, they targeted him for bookings in our last game, screaming as they fell down after running into him.

Historically, this is where we take the foot off the gas each season. Hope we can break the habit of a (Premiership) lifetime Next Two Games 1f64f

No mate, historically we take the foot off the gas after the split. Still two games to go before that & if we have secured top 6 again it won’t matter too much… that said if we secure top 6 this season we will be in the mix for 4th & would probably only need to beat the others in 4th to 6th contention to secure it… maybe a point from Hearts would be needed. So let’s hope that is sufficient to motivate them to keep going.

Yeah 2 seasons ago we didn't get to play the last 8 games too, and last season was a funny one with us being in contention for 5th place and a European spot, but wouldn't be able to qualify anyway with us not meeting European regulations, think it had something to do with the youth teams, or not having any, but that's all sorted now. Don't think Martindale really wanted us getting 5th place and being in the position where we wouldn't be able to play after qualifying.

Main thing is getting top 6 to get the big payday from gates from one erse cheek and prob Hearts too, then we can target 5th or even 4th place.

Certainly our last 2 seasons, form has started to wobble a bit in the build up to the split. Perhaps not foot completely off the gas, but maybe tapping the break a bit, then back on to the gas Laughing
