Take it Martindale has another CB lined up, that'll be 2 away in the Jan window.

Parkes looked decent, if a bit slow, but he spent most of his time at Livi injured, anyone signing him now must be a bit mad.

Or is it as simple as he is using their facilities to rehab an injury?

Don’t know when the squad is leaving for Turkey, if he’s been left behind it’s more ominous for his departure. Personally think he’s too slow for our league but he’d probably be okay in the tier below.

Even so, DM suggested trying to get cover in after De Lucas left, if Parkes goes too then we’ll definitely need cover.

Meant to be our highest earner, good move for us getting him off the books, should free up enough for 3 signings, between him and de Lucas.

If he was our highest earner you have to ask “why?” - and if he is heading to Hartlepool who are a bang average National League side now, that says a lot about how over paid he was.

Might've been worth it if he hadn't spent the majority of his time out injured, played in our final league game last season against St Johnstone and was woefully slow, but again that'll be down to not being fit and just returning from injury. Then he's been out injured again this season, prob never fully recovered. Much like McPake ended up being, one problem after another.

Even so, you surely don’t make him your top earner?

Aye, no idea why we would do that, maybe if it was a proven striker scoring us 15-20 goals a season, but not for a CB.
