    Some questions Empty Some questions

Post by Lexi Collector Tue Jun 02, 2015 1:28 am

    1. Who owns the club?
    2. Who is currently running the club?
    3. Do we have a manager?
    4. How many players are contracted for next season?
    5. Why have the club not told us that players like McKenna and O'Brien will not be here next season?
    6. Why have the club said absolutely NOTHING about the current registration embargo and the situation surrounding Rankine's shares?
    7. Why is there a convicted drug gangster involved with the club (especially at youth level)?
    8. Why are Livingston fans constantly treated like utter shite by those running the club?
    9. Why should any cunt buy or renew their season ticket?

Been thinking about this quite a lot over the past week or so, but I am majorly fucked off with the club. The club is in crisis and they're keeping everything from the supporters. An absolute disgrace, and we haven't been vocal enough. Someone ought to show this thread to whoever runs the club because they don't deserve any cash.

I'm a Livingston fan but that doesn't mean I'll blindly throw a substantial amount of money at them for a season ticket.

A bit late in the night/morning for me for be putting a more thought out post so i'll do one later when I've had time to think one out but here's a quick one off the top of my head.

Read some confusion over seat allocations from our fans and that a few have lost their seats for various reasons, seems the lack of information on our OS over that isn't helping, along with absolutely no communication from the club to its fans.

Basically fans are expected to do all the running around finding out what is going on and just accept this debacle or have enough and not renew their ST. My main observation on the marketing (yeah I know, what marketing?) is that Sevco being in the Championship is enough of a draw to get fans down to our ground and the club has no other plan in place.

We're drifting along without a Captain at the helm here, about time this was sorted out and someone took command of the ship and got their act together.

What's the story with this convicted drugs dealer running the club, a lot of rumours and supposition from what I've read.

Convicted drug dealer boy is still quite heavily involved in the club outwith coaching. I have that on very good authority.

Well said sir, my feelings exactly and have been for a long time, even the simple things aren't passed on to us. things like the closure of the Almondvale Suite, just turned up and the doors were closed, I sent messages to reception, twitter account and facebook and not one reply. If they can't pass on simple things we have no chance of getting serious information.

Another way to put it would be reformed drug dealer but that doesn't sound as provocative. Wouldn't like to think he's still dealing in drugs and coaching kids at Livi, not read anything saying his is though, just supposition from rumours or Chinese whispers, heard from a friend of a friend who has sat in the hairdressers and overheard a conversation type posts that have it on good authority.

Anyways, hoping to see something concrete soon on what's happening with the Rankine shares issue. The embargo lifted so players get signed up and who is actually going to be running the club and acting as a spokesperson.

We're needing the club to have a spokesperson and get a statement up on the OS letting the fans now what exactly is happening this season.
Someone showing a bit enthusiasm to lift the spirits and get folk excited about the season, not just the 'sevco are playing in the Championship so we don't really need to try and attract fans' approach we've seen so far.
There was a buzz about the place after our cup win and finishing 8th so wouldn't be hard to jump on the back of that and keep it going.

This one raises more questions than it answers, particularly concerned by the suggestion that Gordon McDougall will step down - he's been our one semblance of credibility throughout the whole sorry affair.

Aye and this article doesn't look good either, McDougall getting the heave ho now and wanting his money back. Looks like Rankine is still running the show by proxy.

Folk buying season tickets and it is still a mess behind the scenes with nobody coming forth to tell us what the hell is going on down here.

Like all Livi fans ive been keeping a watchfull eye on media to keep up with all the issues we have as a club primarily just now our transfer embargo and owners. So we are all imploring the footballing powers to lift our embargo so we can move forward do we really think that is going to happen ? Rankine claims to have given his 50 percent away for zip!! Really anyone believe that considering Rankine himself came out in the press saying the only serious offer was from Ford and it didnt come up to his expectations but wait now he has just given it away ... Absolute tosh no one believes that. Remember when all the Nixon stuff in the press wanting 300k well Rankine was in for 850k no way has he just given that away no matter how much he clawed back from a good last financial season. Next up Martingdale as the press has already shown this guy has a 6 year conviction for drugs, im all for giving people a second chance but we have four youth teams and deal a lot with kids im absolutely certain this is not good for our club and the SFA will also be looking badly on this as a refection of our game overall. The biggest reason for my rant here is the paper i have just read saying Gordon McDougall may have to leave ! by everything i have seen is a genuine guy who has put his money and heart into Livi and he now feels so bad he has to go what a loss he will be if this happens, this also demonstrates how bad things are within the clubs leadership so please someone listen to the fans and sort it out .

Couldn't agree more, was originally feeling quite positive about team rebuilding/ next season after hearing Rankine had offloaded his shares. Now the opposite, not sure we will have a Club to support next season in particular the fact that McDougall may be leaving doesn't bode well! as has been said before no information is forthcoming from the Club at all (par for the course!)

Best way I can sum it up is that I love the team and love to see us win, as well as the legacy we built 1995-2004, but I absolutely hate what this club has become once again. As it stands there's absolutely nothing to like about Livingston other than it's the team we support. Crying shame.

I'm not so sure that this is particularly breaking news is it?

There were rumours last season that GM was looking to leave.

However, I would now contend that if the league has any integrity it should be rallying round to try & help one of its member clubs survive. They are always ready & willing to put the boot in with fines, points deductions & transfer embargos but surely the league exists only because of its members; therefore the body that is the SPFL ought to be stepping in to safeguard a member club.

Ok so far its clear as mud to me with regrads to Rankine and anyone mumping there gums at the SFA embargo need to just look at our own official website!!
Among various topics discussed, it was confirmed that the Club will honour its deal with former Director Neil Rankine, and work towards transferring the shares over to the Trust.
Our own website today stating work towards transferring the shares so right now who still owns them. Also on the Lions den website its being discussed is it the LIvi 5 shareholding or the LFC shareholding ? Gordon McDoughals name never mentioned once in being a shareholder can't believe that and has stated he is on holiday so has he like Rankine sold his stake or not. I realise as just a fan we are not privvy to all the inns and outs but i asked a questio before and ill ask again who did Rankine sell/transfer his shares too ? This is the only question the SFA will be asking for clarity on so does anyone know . Rankine is the only issue we have holding us under a embargo will somebody just clear it up and lets get signing a team .

All we (the fans) know is that Ford has taken over from Rankine and has said Rankine holds absolutely no ties to influence the club and is no longer anything to do with Livi. They have sent paperwork and are waiting on the CO & the SFA to lift the embargo.

It has got to the point where they need to do something one way or another, if they aren't happy with the paperwork and aren't accepting Rankine is away then either temporarily lift the embargo to let us get a squad of players signed to compete in the Championship, or hit us with some other punishment, because leaving us hanging like this is going to feck up the league with only 9 teams able to fulfil their fixtures.

As for shares in Livi5 and Livi fc, surely the only one that matters is Livi fc as with Sevco, oldco fc didn't go into liquidation it was the holding company or some nonsense like that and not the football club, so Livi 5 must be a separate entity to Livi fc if that was acceptable to a court of law for Sevco.

Not sure what the shares are in Livi fc, the Trust have some, what are the rest made up as? Getting sodding pissed off with this now tbh, just want us to be able to start signing players so we can properly prepare for the season.

This is what the OSC says:
"Club representatives held a very constructive meeting with the Livi for Life Supporters Trust on Thursday evening, as Livingston FC looks to foster a new working relationship with the fans.

Among various topics discussed, it was confirmed that the Club will honour its deal with former Director Neil Rankine, and work towards transferring the shares over to the Trust.  The Club similarly agreed that dialogue with the supporters hasn’t been all it should lately, and we plan on reversing that situation.

We fully appreciate the amount of work Trust members have put in over the years, and continue to do so without reward, and fully acknowledge the importance of the Trust to the running of Livingston FC.

The new board was very pleased to meet with the Trust representatives and look forward to working closely with them over the forthcoming season."

It seems to be saying that the deal with Rankine involves shares being transferred to the Trust. Perhaps a trust member who was in attendance on Thursday can shed some light on it?

Also, there seems to be a problem with "The Lion's Den" at the moment...could it be going the way of the dear departed Livilions? In answer to my own question...it seems to be back again.

There's now going to be a full fans forum for Q&A with Gordon Ford also being there. http://livingstonfc.co.uk/fans-forum-on-2-july/

Following discussions with the Livi for Life Supporters Trust, it has been agreed that the Q&A session will now be expanded into a full ‘Fans Forum’ where supporters can direct questions to the manager and the Club’s largest shareholder, Gordon Ford, who will also now be in attendance.

We invite as many of you as possible along, and are open to all comments and suggestions on the night.
