I'm going just to applaud Declan Gallagher.
Tbf, I reckon if someone really pissed me off I'd cave their head in with a baseball bat as well.

Not sure how you can score a hat trick in a game that ends 2-0

John McKendrick is our ref for this game, can't remember if we've had him before, Orco is usually well clued up on refereeing performances.

We had him twice last season. Once when we played Hearts at home in December and the other was Livi v Dumbarton in March when we lost the game late on.

Both games where we were fairly fortunate with decisions - the Talbot kick and a simply horrendous offside call given against Dumbarton where one of our players made the pass to the Dumbarton one.

Gonna go for another 2-1 to the Amber Machine. FG 38 mins, and I think Shags will score tomorrow.

McKendrick's been decent to us so far, hopefully keeps that up today.

I reckon 2-0 Livi. With Shags getting one and Hippo the other.

What a dire game of football that was. Got there in the end though and a good goal too.

First of all, even though he probably won't be reading this, a big thank you to the complete stranger who handed me a free ticket (apparently the ticket was something to do with "friends of livi" whatever that is). I wasn't the only person in the short queue at 2.45pm but I was "chosen"; so thanks big fella.
So to the game...we should have been out of sight by half time. Some excellent build up play but a combination of poor finishing, last ditch blocking & the ball hitting their keeper when he hadn't a clue where it was somehow kept the scoresheet blank.
Second half was very poor from us by comparison; Clyde did play much better in the second half but we didn't keep up the good work from the first half. Superb block by Big Dec at the near post to us prevented them nicking the lead.
Extra Time...we got back on top & again should have got something in the 1st period of ET which I thought the ref ended about 2 minutes early. I texted my lad at Full Time, it was 4:53. I then waited a minute or two before going to the loo & was back in my seat for the restart; which had to be 5pm & I texted him again at 17:13 saying half time in ET.
2nd period of ET was beginning to look like a repeat of the second half of the 90 but with us not dropping the level quite so much. Peach of a goal from White.
The positives from this game...we won; great goal; clean sheet; some very good play during the game; Burchill showed he can vary his tactics by switching to a flat back 4 during the second half after starting with 3 a the back & a very adventurous attack minded formation. Gibbons looks to be a real find.
Negatives...we dropped off badly at the start of the second half & didn't really recover until extra time. Gibbons tend to be too ambitious with his passing at times (if those passes start hitting their target he will be an astonishingly good player). Finishing not what it should be.
I disagree that it was a dire game, overall I enjoyed it, would rather not have had the slump in the second half though.

Thank feck we don't have to play Clyde again (dear god please don't let us draw them in the Scottish cup), that was murder in the 2nd half. Much like last week we had a decent enough first half but 2nd was a borefest. Think the lack of options from the subs bench had a lot to do with it though, just didn't have anybody to change the game as we had everyone of any quality playing from the start. In saying that thought Sheerin did well when he came on at the tail end before ET. Needed some changes in midfield though and didn't have any.
Early cup games are always about getting through and we did, so job done in that respect. A few other Championship teams struggled today and some didn't make it into the next round.

Big Shags really is an absolute specimen. I'm starting to like him more than I liked Iain Russell. I think I want him to be my boyfriend.

Have you named him for the shirt sponsor yet, I may change my nominations to White if it gets you down to do it.

Still not yet I'm afraid, I'm going on holiday a week on Friday so I've been saving cash for that, but I'll defo pop down with a 10er or so before I leave.

Think somebody mentioned Gallagher celebrating our goal towards the Clyde fans after them giving him stick all game, just seen it in this highlight.

Didn't realise I had forgotten to comment on this. Pretty dull game overall (aside from the belter from Shagz) which I think would have gone to penalties if Jordan Sheerin hadn't come on.
I doubt the boy is ever going to be a world beater but what is without doubt is that he's a different option for us. He came on and the Clyde defence were rattled. Still needs to lose at least a stone, for me, but he should give some of our better players more space when he comes on.
The good substitution was made all the sweeter by the fact I called it about half an hour before

That's what you want, the subs coming on and making a difference. Can't wait for Duckrell to be back playing too as I think his energy and pace will cause defenders all sorts of problems in the last 15-20 mins coming on as a sub.
Sheerin actually looked a good link up player for White when he came on.
