Forfar vs. Livi - Thursday 10th July (19:45 Kick-Off)

Now that we actually have it confirmed, is anyone planning to head up to Forfar? I think I'll make the Spartans tournament next Saturday and the Arbroath friendly and will give this one a miss.

Hopefully a few trialists to look over in this game and some different formations tried.

As previously mentioned in another thread, I won't be able to attend. Hopefully LIVItv are in attendance to record a short highlights package.

For the game itself, it would be a good start to get a win but it's all about gaining fitness, especially with this being our first pre-season game. It will be interesting to see if we use different formations or hand trials to a couple of more players.

Hopefully we get some updates from twitter tonight. Quite looking forward to this as I prepare for an interview.

Finished 1-1. Hilson scored for Forfar after 43 minutes, Jacobs for us in the 56th.

Not a disaster, we're always ropey up there. Any bright prospects?

Wasn't there unfortunately, relied on Twitter. Apparently Hippolyte was playing in midfield rather than as a striker and looked decent. Apart from that, and that it was Glen that set up Jacobs' goal, I can't tell much.

Hopefully someone else was there and can tell us more.

From what I've read Forfar were the better side in the first half and deserved to be 1-0 up, 2nd half Livi made 8 changes and we dominated the game and deserved at least a draw. Gary Glen set up Kyle Jacobs for our equaliser.

Our 2nd half team also more than held their own in the physical stakes, we wont be pushed around this season.

Happy about that. This season especially,the league is going to more physical than usual and I know its only been 1 friendly but I'm happy to see that we won't make it easy for teams and we will make our presence known,without over stepping the mark and playing dirty of course.

I think we were quite a physical side last season under McGlynn anyway. Just need to make sure we have more pace than last season and I think we have tried to make sure that is the case in our signings.
