Absolute abbysmial performance from the Lions yesterday. We seem to be stuck in a rut at the moment that we cant get out of.The players most of the time look as if they couldnt give a toss, the management and i use the term loosely havent got a clue, and as for the board. This shambles needs sorting out NOW.An exit from the cup next week and i think our season will will just head towards the inevitable ending we are all fearing.Hopkin is not the man for us,wish he would do the honourable thing and walk so as to give us a chance to get out of this mess.Cmon board get a feckin grip here, your silence is deafening.

Re: Livi v QoS
I think it may be more down to lack of strong management than needing players in to turn it around, we haven't any direction, telling the players what they should be doing. Buchanan gave a wee swing of his leg as he saw it was his number up to come off, which looked like an 'oh ffs me again', the rest of the players looked like they were lost 2nd half and just retreated into their shell not quite knowing what else to do.
Hopkin said post match they were playing as individuals, not a team, well isn't that meant to be the managers job to get them organised as a team so they know their role. Just get the impression the players don't have anyone giving them that clear a game plan for them to play to and they're wandering about on auto-pilot.
Need an experienced manager to take the helm.

What bugs the life out of me is that they supposedly "responded" to Burchill's dismissal by putting in a performance and getting the win against Saints... Is that it? Is their response "ok, we'll put in a shift for this 1 game and then go back to not giving a monkey's again" ??
Where is their professional pride?

Yeah but if the team lacks leadership and are disjointed they wont play as a unit, and will soon break down into a shambolic mess. Imo it's as much to do with that as the players not giving a monkey's.
We have no clue how to attack, our midfield disappear and fall back into defence. We've decent strikers, in fact they're pretty good at this level, but we aren't getting the ball up the pitch to give them any service around the box, it is all punts up the pitch for them to chase. Basically we play to frustrate teams but when we concede a goal we're fecked. If teams sit in against us we are also fecked because we have no clue how to break them down.
Need to get a manager in with some ability to work out how to play against teams and get us organised. Playing with wingers would help too.

Re: Livi v QoS
Thing is, it wasn't that long ago we were confident our defence would give us a chance as they looked dependable but they played like they'd never met after the first goal went in, I still say they had done okay until then but I agree that the rest of the team retreated from the start of the second half. That doesn't help the defence either as they have less room and no out ball.
Wingers would definitely help but so would utilising the wide areas with one of the strikers going wide and crossing it in. I honestly can't see us getting any new blood in unless it is loan deals and I can't see any decent managers wanting to touch us at the minute

Re: Livi v QoS
We lost the midfield, then lost everything else.
Utilising the players we have, I would have liked to have seen an extra man in midfield to try and regain a presence in the game.
Would have looked to have Glen - Buchanan - Faria - Pittman - Hippolyte across the middle.
Sheerin up front.
Hopefully this would have meant when our defenders (who I think are quite good) headed the ball clear, we would have potentially 5 players battling for possession, which could then have been played up to Sheerin's feet.
Sheerin has shown that he can hold up the ball and then bring a combination of Glen, Buchanan, Pittman and Hippolyte into play.
This would also create the possibility of an overlap on either side and maybe some decent balls in from the bye-line.
I could even have taken the defeat if I'd seen something that showed we were trying to address the problem!

Re: Livi v QoS
When Mullen got subbed we should've brought on Sheerin and dropped Buchanan back into midfield to Mullen's position. Dunno why we have to take off Buchanan or White when Sheerin comes on. Buchanan puts in more effort than Hippo and Mullen, so why not keep him on the pitch and into midfield instead of taking him off?
