    League Table Empty League Table

St Mirren beat QoS today and move 8 points clear of us with a game in hand, Dumbarton are 6 points above us with a game in hand. Stating the obvious here but we really need to start winning games ourselves and not just relying on the other teams to lose all the time, unless we actually start picking up 3 points from wins we're only going to be involved with Alloa in a bottom 2 dog fight.

We've Hibs next but after that we've Raith A, Alloa A, Morton H and Dumbarton H. Think we pretty much need at least 9 points from those games or we're knackered and can forget about getting out of the bottom 2.

We're in deep doodoo right enough. Time for the players to man up and start proving they are better than last season's side.

Games a bogey lads. Best we can hope for is not to be too badly beaten in the playoffs by whoever we get.

'Fraid I'm in serious danger of agreeing with him.

True we were in a worse situation last season but the team had the spirit and the will to pull themselves out of it (helped, in no small part, by the cup final win).

I haven't seen that kind metal from this team all season.

On the positive side Stenhousemuir is a nice wee away game (great pies) and Stranraer is one ground I've never been to.

I've only been to Stranraer once and we won 8-0, roll on next season.

    Oh joy Ayr Utd again.

Who's hacked Bertie's account, surely can't be him being the optimistic voice on here!!

I'll reserve my judgement till we've played the above games, hopefully the new players will have gelled and made enough of a difference for us to start winning games.

My biggest worry is Hopkin, his team selection and players playing in strange positions is worse than Burchill's, and the club sacked him. Impressed with his signings but unless he plays White and Buchanan in the strikers role then I can't see us getting goals. I think he's signed good players that will get us balls into the box but our best striker is playing on the wing and our 2nd best striker is in midfield.

Finished 2-2 between Alloa and Morton tonight. Can't complain in a sense considering it was going to finish 1-0 to Alloa before it got called off.

Alloa seem a tougher opposition at home since they changed the dimensions of their pitch, wouldn't count them out from getting above us unless we start picking up points ourselves.

We desperately need a couple of wins to get ourselves back into the wee pack of teams above us, and get some confidence into the team, and fans.

In a rare moment of optimism from me Shocked I am going to say that maybe the changed size of pitch might suit us too.
Hope I don't come to regret that blatant glass half full statement

It might sound silly but at the moment we're only 12 points off 4th place and I think that reflects the standard of all the teams below the top 3. I think if we go on a good run of form (unlikely at present) any team could be dragged in with a bad run of form.
