Livingston vs Preston Athletic

Livingston will be playing Preston Athletic on Tuesday the 22nd July at 7:30pm in a friendly. This friendly will be played at the pennypitt stadium prestonpans

This has not been announced by the club yet, but can easily be found on the web. Looks like this is the replacement for Saturday's cancelled home friendly

Finished 5-1. Burchill with 2, Glen and Ogleby with one each, no idea who got our 5th.

Ross Lamb, a 17s player got our 5th. Unsure of his position.

Don't know who scored for Preston, but doesn't matter that.

Supposedly Burchill was playing left back as well.

Good result and it'll no doubt be more about fitness and getting the team to gel together. Still slightly concerned that we haven't played against more teams who are full time.

Yeah these kind of teams are fine when you just want the players getting used to one another and helping with fitness but usually you get a couple of harder games towards the end of pre season to test the players before the season starts.

Still a better preparation than last season, fecking nightmare start to the season that was.

Thought they played Kilmarnock on Monday too and they were full time the last I heard lol

So from my understanding, we have played/scheduled to play against four full time teams, two part time teams and four junior teams. In a league where we're competing against six full timers and three part timers, I think our preparation match-wise could've been slightly better.

Whenever we do play play against full time teams, whether or not the game is behind closed doors, it would be good for the club to communicate in some way about who we played and what the score was.

Not seen anything about a game against Killie, who played for us and what the score was, then again it was someone on here that told us we played Motherwell in a bounce game at Stirling. It's like getting blood out a stone trying to get info from the OS at times.

Beat a Kilmarnock XI 1-0 on Monday afternoon, at Broxburn. Michael McKenna scored the goal.
