I can see this game has got us all gripped with excitement. Laughing

Nothing more than a meaningless pre season game now, maybe shouldn't risk Cadden after returning from injury, we need him to be fit for the league opener against Stranraer next Sat.

Edinburgh get a shock win against St Mirren and we hammer Accies 3-0 to go through as one of the best 2nd place teams. It's happening.

If that comes to pass you should get your numbers on for the lotto this Saturday.

Will be at my nephew's wedding for this one... So I foresee the best man scoring with a bridesmaid assisting.

Kelly, Miller, Lithgow, Longridge, Halkett, Mullin, Byrne, Pittman, Cadden, Crighton & Mullen

Why is Cadden being risked for a meaningless match?

Seems a bit silly playing Cadden after he is just back from injury, esp in a game that should just be used to try our some of the fringe players like Orr and Currie, or even Watt who isn't getting starts.

Decent performance from Livi who were unlucky not to take something from this game. The first Hamilton goal however was yet another from a strike outside the box. Happening too often really. Their second came from a dodgy free kick won by the master diver Dougie Imrie.

In spite of all Airdrie fans said about Crichton and Lithgow I am liking their no nonsense style of defending. They are winning most high balls too. Nicky Cadden is proving to be an excellent signing and it was good to see Pittman back in. I am wondering what was up with Buchanan who was not even on the bench.

Next week is when the real stuff starts. Let's hope we can start off with a win. I can't remember the last season we won our first league game.

'A decent performance and we were unlucky not to take something from the game', I've a feeling we'll say that a lot this season. We're still looking very light up front and if Mullen is going to be leading the line I just can't see us winning many games. A decent big striker and we'd have won a few of these cup games.

We've got goals in our midfield but we really need an out and out striker who can take advantage of the balls Cadden and Mullin deliver, a striker who can handle himself against CB's, that isn't Mullen.
Oh how I wish we had White this season, with the wingers we've got supplying him he'd have scored for fun.

I like Mullen and think he can score goals but not as a striker playing with his back to goal, he needs to be in behind Buchanan so he can get the ball and run at defenders.

Not there today, at my nephew's wedding, didn't really care about the result as I suspected we were out of the competition before kick off anyway. But I tend to agree with LF although he seems to be me in disguise!
