Ominous Club Announcement

Official site has a rather vague but ominous announcement of an Emergency General Meeting of the board/shareholders scheduled for April with no indication of why.

I heard on Tues the club had been sold, maybe this is to get everything sorted out between shareholders.

Takeover on the way, preferably by a multi billionaire.

Yeah some oil gadgie from the middle east would be good.  But heard it was more local.

Strange that there was no wind of such a thing in the press tho & surely that would be an extraordinary general meeting rather than an emergency gm - unless of course the web site administrator has wrongly attributed the E to emergency

I think emergency and extraordinary are interchangeable under normal circumstances, but the wording does present a bit of a worry. Would something as relatively simple as installing a 4G pitch require the consent of all shareholders? There's also some talk about a takeover, which I'm always hesitant about when it comes to this club. I'm not against the committee we've got running the show at the moment, but there's room for massive improvement IMO. Plus, some of the things I've heard regarding the funding of the club would lead me to conclude that any takeover would be a tangible purchase by those involved behind the scenes at the moment.

More than happy for it to be something wildly positive but as with anything to do with this club I'll not hold my breath for long.

With us doing so well on the pitch at the moment wouldnt it be just about right that something negative is on the agenda here.I sincerely hope that im wrong but as Afro says its Livi we are talking about here and its usually the case not having had any bad news from them in a wee while we know that everything might not be so rosey in the upper echelons of Almondvale.Could all be conjecture from me of course but going on the many previous occasions when they spring something like this uponus it does plant a seed of doubt as to a favourable outcome to these proccedings.Like most i await with baited breath with hopefully the club letting us know in due course though i seriously doubt that they will.

Wording has been changed on OCS, E now equals extraordinary.

Certainly changes the tone of the announcement.
