Dunno why they keep saying they're putting down a 3G pitch and then not doing it.

This is just a patch up job imo, dunno if it'll solve the drainage problem much, putting down sand and seeding over the same bad drainage. Just googled verti drainage fertilizer and it says it breaks up the compacted soil, but I think our drainage problem runs deeper than that. Hopefully it gives us a better playing surface though and it holds up during the winter months.

Pitch renovations are ongoing today, but we hope to raise the funding to plan for a new 4G surface in time for the start of next season.

Been saying that for 3 seasons now. If they're looking to make enough from the shares i'm not going to hold my breath on us getting it next season either.

They already promised that shares monies would be ring fenced for investment in the playing squad so they better have alternative plans for pitch funding or they will just another bunch of "tell them what they want to hear" bletherers

I'm sure if smaller clubs like Annan and Stenhousemuir can find the capital to fund such a project, we can too. Personally, I get the feeling the club aren't pushing their position hard enough in order to find grant money from lottery, government affiliates, etc. Hopefully the work they have done has the desired effect.

Pitch looks good to go, hopefully it holds up over the winter months, it's looking good though.

According to a Pars fan on P&B, Raith are getting a plastic pitch put down by a company that are also going to be laying a plastic pitch for us during the close season, and they're doing Raith's first with them being knocked out the play offs and Us still being involved in our play offs.

So looks like we're finally going to get artificial grass put down, opposition fans are going to love that. Will give them something else to moan about when playing us.

A delay in the pitch coming from the manufacturers in Holland, was meant to come yesterday. Mon tae feck Dutch boy, get yer finger out the dam.

Their pitch is completed now so hopefully that means ours wont be far behind, it's the same company doing both of us.

Saw a pic of our new pitch on twitter, all set to go.

Looking good, can't wait for the complaints any time we get points.

I really hope other teams hate playing on it and we gain an advantage (and lots of points) from having it.

Our players are training on it this week so should get to know how it runs. It'll feel strange not having to worry about the game being on when it rains heavily, or that patch in front of the goals when it's frosty.

A number of fake grass pitches had postponements last season

So all the shit we've had thrown at us about our plastic pitch and grass pitches being the dog's bollocks, and what happened at the weekend, players injured playing on grass pitches, the ball sticking to the grass. Wembley looking an absolute state too. Lets see how these grass pitches look in a couple of months time too, better off having a plastic pitch.
