Pre Season Games

Motherwell on the 4th July- Tues 7.45pm ko.

Sunderland at home on Wednesday, July 12th confirmed too. Not bad at all.

Hoping for a decent away trip on the Saturday between these games.

You'll get an away trip to Stranraer in the Betfred cup game.

Thankfully I'm away for all the games bar the first one, so I'll miss the three teams that we've played in the last 2 years.

Would have liked to get to the Sunderland game, out of the country then. Still holding out for an away game against Plymouth/Exeter/Torquay.

game as i had the opportunity to see them against West Ham at the stadium of light back in April.Unfortunatly had to give it a miss but 8 of my mates had a ball.Will also miss the Motherwell and Partick games as well.Bummer!!Incidently have been to all the grounds in Devon you mentioned a few years ago to watch some matches.Its different but still an enjoyable way to spend some of your holiday if your down there,wife permitting of course!.Hope you lot enjoy all the games mentioned,il be there in spirit.LOL.T.

Seeing as it's a 3G pitch, it might already have been booked for use at an earlier time before the game was agreed between the clubs. I think a team like Kilmarnock would rather play at a later time than lose the income.

5pm kick off might also be to accommodate the fans forum earlier in the day.

Hearts @ H on 1st July now too, after these friendlies we should be well ready for the Championship.

Some price for a friendly though.

Expect this was a condition by Hearts in order for it to be made worth their while turning up.

Hope we have an agreement it will actually be their first team or most of it.

£15 quid for Hearts in a friendly?

No chance.

I think it'll be their first team D, they're off to Ireland a couple of days later for a few pre season games, so they'll have no other fixture arranged when playing us. Hopefully a few thousand of their fans come through and give us a few quid to boost our coffers.

Cardiff have arranged a pre-season home friendly at CCS on Friday July 28th, ko 7pm.
The visitors will be Scottish Championship side Livingston. Back in 2001 Cardiff signed Neil Alexander from Livingston and today the keeper is back playing for them. It'll be good to see him again in Cardiff.
Neil Warnock said: “We had a couple of options to play against Italian and Spanish opposition, but I wanted to have a British-based side to play against with it being our final game before the season starts.

“I think Livingston will give us a good game and they’ve a couple of players that I would like to watch in person. In this respect it kills two birds with one stone.”

So looks like Mullen and Knox wont be going to Cardiff on trial, well not until they see them in this friendly.

Wish we'd got a bit more notice on this one. Would have fancied an overnighter down there.

Thank feck that's all the friendlies finished, 5 games, 5 defeats, and not a single goal scored in any of them. I'm just glad we had the Betfred cup games sandwiched in between them and did so well in those games, or i'd have been a bit concerned going into our League opener with Dunfermline.

Wonder if Mullen and Knox are still going to be at Livi then.
