SFA Notice of Complaint - Neil Rankine

The story goes that Rankine is still a shareholder of both Dumbarton and East Fife - and the SFA didn't know about it.

I can't imagine that any punishment for this would be minor. Is there any precedent for a case like this?

What a fucking idiot Rankine is, he used that same issue to force the resignation of a couple of high ranking SFA gadgies during his first year at Livi when we had the SFA punting us into the 3rd division. You'd think he'd have the bloody sense to sever all ties with other clubs himself, unbelievable!

If the governing body doesn't know who has interests in their clubs, how are we supposed to know? And if ge has interests in the other two clubs surely all these breaches were committed before he came to Livi ad well cos he had interests in 2 clubs at that time?

If you read the complaints it states that Livi failed to disclose the fact that he has interests in 2 other clubs. The complaint is against the club not Rankine. This would suggest the following:
1. That it is possible to have interests in more than 1 club as long as you declare this on an official form to the SFA
2. East Fife & Dumbarton have declared all of Rankine's interests to the SFA in the correct manner.
3. Whoever completed the form for Livingston as failed to disclose this information
4. If the form had been completed properly there wouldn't be a problem.
5. It probably wasn't Rankine that filled in the form, so he's probably not to blame.

Do you think it was Nixon that didn't fill a form in properly, or was responsible for informing the SFA when he was in charge of Livi but didn't do so, and now he's grassed us up to the SFA?

It always comes back on the club for these idiots that can't manage Livi properly.

I don't actually see what the problem is here. It's quite fucking obvious he was involved with ourselves and it's common knowledge that he had links to these other clubs.

Should only be a minor punishment, if any.
