Good chance to get points here and take advantage of our top 4 rivals Utd & Pars playing one another, St Mirren have a tricky tie too, playing Dumbarton. We have to go into this game with the same energy and aggression we usually have though, there are no easy games in this league when you aren't at your best.

Mullen can't be far away from a return, maybe see him as a 2nd half sub though, Mackin and Carrick could maybe start, or maybe see Cadden playing up front supporting one of them. Penrice should be starting too with him being rested on Tues night. 3-0 Livi, fg 8 mins

I dont know - think this is going to be a cagey affair probably to be decided by a single goal.

    I'll do for a 1 - 0 Livi win

Too much optimism here for me... Bad feeling that the Bairns are about to turn the corner after their latest pasting, they surely can't get any worse. Also got a bad feeling that we are about to hit a slump. No obvious evidence for either bad feeling, but they are lingering nevertheless.

2-2 draw with the first goal in 32 mins

Yeh you beat me to it L/F.Saw it on the Falkirk website a few hours ago but was at work.Idid say in my post after the St Mirrin game that i was concerned as to wether this game would be in danger of being called of due to the cold snap that weve had.Unfortunatly unless there is a significant rise in the temperature over night my fears for the game will be well founded.Which is a pity becuase as well as the lost revenue that a Saturday game would bring rather than a cold midweek game we,ll never have a better chance at beating a Falkirk side that is so low on moral although i share Orcos sentiments about us all waiting for them to turn their season around but hopefully not tommorow.Anyway prediction for tommorow if its on,Mild hypothermia so wrap up well.Cmon the Lions.Doit!!!

I wonder why the inspection is so early given that Falkirk is not that far away. The temperature is due to be 7° from 12.00 onwards tomorrow so if the game is called off at 10.30 it will be a bit daft. But then again it's Scottish referees were dealing with so nothing will surprise me.

No overnight frost then. Not sure if the temperature has has risen significantly enough to thaw out that particuilar part of the pitch though.Your right Orco, ridiculous time to have an inspection when the forecast for the rest of the day is more promising.Fingers crossed.

    A 2nd inspection at 1,30pm now.

There has been no frost for at least 24 hrs, temp never went below freezing yesterday and was well above freezing last night/this morning. So this must be from a couple of days ago, and it still hasn't properly thawed out, all seems a bit strange.

Well if this game takes a hit what chance for the others in the coming months? Its a bit worrying and I feel somewhat embarrasing.

Livi and pitch problems seem to go hand in hand.

I can hardly believe this match is in doubt but if it's not playable at 10.30am after no frost for 24 hours I don't see another 3 hours making much difference.

Our pitch is a joke. I've been looking at the weather forecast all week and never thought for a minute that this game was in any danger. Further, it's a ridiculous time to call off a game.
I'm a bit raging at this.

The club really need to get this problem area sorted. Apart from the inconvenience and frustration caused to fans, especially those who were planning to travel from Falkirk, it will cost it hard cash that it can ill afford to lose.

Hopefully lessons learned from today...and other results go our way.

Needing to get a hire company sponsor and get them to loan us out a hot blower cover to put over that problem area, either that or just hire one out. As Orco said, if we're struggling to get a game on just now when the temp has been pretty mild the last day and a half then we're going to really struggle when winter sets in and temps start getting lower overnight before a game.

Bit scunnered really, was down in the AS at 1pm waiting on news of the pitch inspection and didn't really see it being called off, lovely afternoon for a game too, and a game was being played on the astro pitch as I walked past it, which didn't improve my mood.

Yep. Nice to finnally meet you in the A/Suite this afternonn.Totallygree with bot yours and Orcos sentiments. Was reasonably hopefull that this game would go ahead but i was still feeling cold even in the A/S.We all know what part of the pitch is or has been giving us the most problems over the years ie the south side right of the goals as we look at it.Its been Baltic there for at least the last 3 days and would have been a big ask for it to have been thawed out in such a short space of time.Reckon the Falkirk fans will have a feild day on this which nevertheless i dont blame them.Ach well another midweek game for us to look forward to although conflicting reports as to when this will be played. Some suggesting it will be on Teusday night at 7.45pm.Hope the club can clarify this and let fans know ASAP. Inciddently the game you saw on the astroturf as you were making your way home L/F was the wholr first team squad going through their paces to keep their sharpness and fitness up to scrach, and by the way wee Danny looked terific.

Falkirk will be in no hurry to get it played given their recent poor form. Things can only get better for them I'd say. Very annoying!
I hope we find out soon when it's going ahead too.

Nope Troy, haven't seen anything official on when this will be rescheduled.

On better news, results more or less went our way today, St Mirren lost to Dumbarton, QoS drew with ICT, and Dunfermline lost to Utd. Pity we didn't play today but if it is going to be played on Tues we've now got an extra incentive to win and take advantage of knowing todays results, we can move further away from Dunfermline and QoS, and get 3 points closer to St Mirren.

No game for us to comment on but here's one of our on loan players scoring a hattrick, Jack Hamilton playing for Penicuik against Brechin in their 7-0 cup win.

Yep.Saw it this afternoon L/F.As i had envisaged this would be rearranged for a cold midweek game. You can bet your bottom dollar that the projected attendance for this game will probably be halved if your lucky from both sides as opposed to the original date. Will probably never know who really wanted this game called off after some conflicting reports.Nevertheless we move on to another difficult looking game at the Rock on Saturday.More on that one later in the week.Lol.T.

Sorry Bertie didnt mean to tease.Perused through a couple of their forums and saw that some of their people were at the ground at the time of the inspections and some werein hospitality. The concensus i got from them was that Falkirk did not want this game to go ahead for some reason or another. Now how accureate they were in their assesments is of course debatable but the old addage that theres no smoke without fire comes to mind. One or two even suggesting that we didnt want the game to go ahead as well.As i said Bertie they are conflicting rumours. As we know that part of the pitch is notorious for never getting any protection so why these people would suggest the aforesaid scenario baffles me when there was a very good chance that it would have been called off anyway.Sorry for dragging it out but thats the way i see it.T.
