Livi 4-1 Hearts - 20th August

I don't think we played that well on Saturday, and whilst Hearts are nowhere near playing at their best at the moment, I think they'll have too much for us. If the performance is an improvement on Saturday's then I won't be complaining.

2-1 Hearts after extra time, FG 37 minutes.

Can't see us getting through this unless we play better than we have against Hibs and Cowden. Can only see us having a chance if Hearts have an off day or play a weakened team.

2-1 Hearts after 90 minutes, 25 minutes for the first goal.

Fancy us to scrap it out for a 2-2 draw and take them in ET. Been impressed with our fitness in cup games. Also like us having so many strikers this season fighting for a place as they'll be needed in these cup games and will be desperate to score when they come on.

2-2 in 90 mins, 3-2 Livi in ET.

I take it Osman Sow is suspended what with his red being for violent conduct? Can't say I'll not be happy to miss him against our back line.

Think they will be just a bit strong for us, winning 3-1. First goal coming on 18 minutes.

Hopefully Talbot is fit and if he's not, I hope Rutherford is given another chance. Happy with Kyle Jacobs at right-back and Fordyce at centre-half as he was doing okay until he switched to the right. Happy as well if McGlynn wants to rotate Sives in their as Fordyce gives us more flexibility off the bench. Same midfield and stickers, I'm happy.

Hopefully give them a decent game. Apparently they are playing ressys so I fancy us.

Livi 0 Hearts 2 with the FG on 21 mins

Even if Hearts put out a team with their reserves/subs, I can't see us getting past them.

Tight game, 1-0 Hearts, first goal 81st minute.

3-1 Hearts, 14 mins.

Although I'm hoping for a draw and extra time being realistic 4 - 2 to Hearts first goal 30 minutes . From other sites looks as if Hearts are bringing 3000 plus that and our 1000 season ticket holders and I see tickets can be obtained at the ground on the night may even get to 5000 - fingers crossed.

I think we can maybe cause an upset especially if Glen and White put in similar performances, and get the service from the wide players and midfielders.

I see the player who had the set too with Stevenson (Walker I think) has been offered a two match ban. Does that mean he will be missing as well if he doesn't appeal. appeal has to be lodged by 3pm tomorrow.
Also, I take Hearts printed the tickets for the game since it has the Hearts badge on it.

Yep, think Sow's out as well, and their first choice 'keeper is out, so is their second choice, and their third choice is cup tied. So unless Scott Gallagher (their second choice) is fit again, it'll be Lee Hollis in goal. Add to that they'll probably rest more players since this is a diddy cup, we might have a chance.

Hadn't noticed that you're right looks as if Hearts did print the tickets. Agree with Rutherford being a able replacement for Talbot if need be, had a good game against Albion I thought almost a extra winger more so than Talbot. Really looking forward to a good display even if we do loose!

I thought Hearts would win this by a couple 2-0, 3-1, but hearing about suspensions and injuries for Hearts you never know, so I am going to be optimistic and say Livi 2-1 AET first goal  between 20 and 30 minutes.

Will say 25 mins For the FG then.

Don't fall for them playing fringe players and reserves, the likes of Keatings scored plenty goals for Accies last season and I doubt they'll be taking it lightly, with over 3,000 fans coming through they're not going to disrespect them with not bothering about this game.

That reserves spiel is just an excuse in case we beat them.

McGlynn will have a point to prove, all be it it's a different board and squad but does know a few of them as he gave them their debuts. The likes of Fordyce, Talbot and Sives really need to show what they're capable of and minimise the errors.

The closer we're getting to kick off, the more excited I'm getting even if I predicted a defeat #ambermachine

Totally correct Keatings scored 13 goals for Accies other Hearts youngsters have played in the Scottish premiership. So yes they are getting excuses in first.

Mon the Livi

Brilliant result, and some stand out performances from the Livi players. Kyles run for our 2nd was amazing, Hippolyte came on and scored a cracking goal then set up our 4th, has to start against QoS surely.

He may have played a lot of youngsters, but hell mend him. Really do not think Neilson will last the season.
Anyway who cares about their problems cos we won. Bring on the quarter finals  

That was fucking outstanding. I'd love to know how many passes there were in the build up to Hippos goal.

Played well in the first half, spent a wee bit time under the cosh in the second (defending really well BTW), and then absolutely destroyed them.

Outstanding stuff.

Stunned I am; ok not their first choice side but they played some decent stuff in the 2nd hald & had us under the cosh until we got the 2nd. The 3rd & 4th were simply outstanding goals.

Exactly, couldn't care less what they field, we beat them and made a good few quid out of the big Hearts support that turned out. Next.


It's a good confidence boost for our players and I think we'll do well in cup comps and the league. We've a decent squad that has coped well with injuries and suspensions and looks like we're improving with each game. Mon the Livi Lions.
