Was interesting watching SportScene last night when they also covered missiles and pyrotechnics and seats being thrown at the Aberdeen v sevco match whilst bottles and coins were thrown at the Hibs v. celtic game. It was described as "a very disturbing development for Scottish football".
They're probably right but it does seem quite strange that it mainly happens when a small number of teams or a particular manager is involved?
Cant recall much being said about crowd trouble at Kilmarnock v Motherwell or St. Mirren v. Livingston or even Dundee United v Inverness?
Every team has its idiots but i remember the "golden rain" lottery at Ibrox from almost 20 years ago (cups filled with urine and flung at visiting support). Here we are and still nothing done or any idea of how to stop it; fair enough Gerard has issued a statement to their supporters asking them to stop but it hasn't made any difference.
Surely the time has come to consider fines and points deduction for repeat offenders?
That being said it also assumes that those in charge have some form of backbone which we all know they don't.
