Nike Kit

Back in March the club announced that they would be entering a partnership with Just Sports to supply Nike branded kit for the next 3 seasons; we jokingly asked if Troy had been in the know.

The announcement also said there would be more info towards the end of the season... and what have we heard? Nada.

Rumours now seem to be circulating that the home kit will be white; I would be surprised that the current board would look to repeat that error of judgement but you never know.

Our colours are Amber & Black, it was bad enough turning yellow over the years until last season’s kit started trending back towards amber... it would be an egregious error to fade to white.

What? No one else bothered?

Hope it isn't like this, and that purple one was jinxed.




Btw, i'm pretty sure we had a conversation about referring to kits as home and away, and you told me there was no such thing.

Yeah, probably, I can’t remember just now... might have been on the basis that clubs seem to be contractually obliged to wear the change kit(s) at home during a season.

I will concede that traditionally kits are home, away & 3rd & I really can’t remember what I said but knowing me it was mainly to be a nuisance

Looks like all will be revealed tomorrow - I will be extremely disappointed if it is white.

Actually, having seen the amount of shouting Devlin did on Tuesday I wouldn't be surprised if.....

Nah I think it's better to have an established player as Capt, esp after all the changes of players we've had. Saying that, if it wasn't big Al, i'd choose Bartley, he's really calm (like Halkett) and a real leader the way he commanded his area and got the ball played to him whenever we were bringing it out of defence. Very well liked from what I've read from other players talking about him too.

Anyhoo, think it will def be Lithgow, with him being vice Capt last season and I think he wore the armband in our pre season games.

If it's the white and gold number from all the pre season games then this reveal will be the biggest damp squib of a reveal ever.

Have to say I am delighted with both kits & I enjoyed the way the videos revealed them.

Would still have liked a slightly more amber hue but I am very impressed.

On the downside... replica shirts only go up to XXL - losing weight has to be a target for me anyway but we’ll be on to another new kit by the time I’m down to XXL.
