Pre Season Friendlies

I think anything above 7th is a good season for us. No danger of us getting 4th, the other full-timw teams are just a wee bit too strong.

Aye settle, lets not get ahead of ourselves and just wait to see how we get on in the first quarter before getting our hopes up. Right now I'd settle for staying in this league and anything else is a bonus.

I think you are correct but I would really like to see us compete well against Falkirk Queens and Raith this season.

Agree about Praprotnik - I thought he looked really decent on the odd occasion we saw him towards the end of the season.

Regarding friendlies, I'll hopefully make it along to the Spartans tourney at some point, and the Rotherham home game. If only to see if Steve Evans is really as huge in real life.

Rotherham friendly cancelled. Don't really mind as it wasn't an attractive fixture for me to go to.

I see Callum Carson on Twitter said earlier that he'd had it all but confirmed that the Rotherham game was back on and likely to take place in Broxburn.

Rotherham game fully canceled, no rearrangement could be met. We will play Kilmarnock on Monday ( don't know venue yet).

Cheers for that HB - will that be a daytime kick off or evening, any idea? if it's the latter and it's open door, I should make it.

Not sure about kick off time or if we are playing Kilmarnock now, considering we have a friendly on the Tuesday at prestonpans, 7:30.

I'm nipping down to the stadium before it shuts tonight to pick up a new top and sort out mascot stuff for my lad. Will see if the girls on the desk know any more.

Edited to add, decent result at Arbroath last night, and not bad performance too by the sounds of it.

Sparky Mullen scored again.  

A Livingston XI drew 4-4 with Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale. Mostly youth by us I'd imagine, and hope.

With goal scorers like White, Burchill and Robertson, we must've had a half-decent team out.

You'd imagine it was the guys who didn't get a run-out last night. Interesting to see if Antell was in goals.

4 goals conceded to a junior team? How much do you want to bet?

From scraps of info picked up we now have Talbot,Jacobs,
Mullen,Hippolyte,McKenna,Burchill,Robertson and White
scoring in the games so far.

Praprotnik got one too against Motherwell.

Lovely header from Hippolyte, not used to seeing those type of goal from a Livi player, scoring from a ball floated into the box (even though the marking was pretty poor), the extra height in the team adds a new dimension to our play.

HB maybe all these friendlies are to give everybody 90 mins at a time.
Hopefully the Kilmarnock game goes ahead as it would decent to watch.

Yeah, good we didn't lose though I suppose. Good to give everyone a chance.

Won 2-1 against Dalkeith Thistle tonight with a mixture of youth players and trialists. Keaghan got a run out too.

Neil Hastings played... Think we had a trialist GK.
Was our youth team really. And, one of their defenders told our players - "get up you little C**t" when bumped over in box.

Good game, I'll try and upload my pics later on.

Did any of the trialists look like potential first-teamers? Also, any idea on scorers?

Was hard to tell without teamsheet, but if the gk was a trialist - he's definitely not a starter, had not much to do. But kinda average, could've caught one he tipped over. Couple encouraging performances from the youths - black guy (Christian) - was LB, and number 6 I think, sounded like bobby barr, pretty fast midfielder.
Darren Moffat played again, picked up booking at end for kicking ball away, our second goal was a hard shot from inside area but great finish. Like 60 attendance. Attendance at Prestonpans was 200 according to fans near me.
