Pre Season Friendlies

Saw that Rotherham United are coming to visit us on July 19th

Wonder who else we might see at the 'Vale?

Houda Betsy (I think) mentioned on P&B we have Arbroath away at some point. Well done to whoever organised that.

Forfar and Spartans friendlies were confirmed by each of them.

Yeah, Arbroath is a friendly - not sure if home / away though. Would rather away though.

Be nice to see how we cope against a new English Championship side.

It would be nice to see something from the club about friendlies mind you especially if the games getting mentioned are definite. I suppose time will tell.

A game against Sheffield United might be a shout, although I'd imagine it would be something we'd have heard about by now.

Rotherham will be interesting - they looked gash for large parts of their play off final against Leyton Orient, but eventually came good.

Simon Preece at Food Creations will need to have a double helping of weetabix before we open the doors to their gaffer Steve Evans though. Big unit by the way.

Has the date for for the Rotherham game been confirmed? Im definitely going to get to along to that game. Hopefully I'll manage the Arbroath match as well.

A Livingston XI will travel to Dalkeith Thistle, for a friendly on 24th July.

Didn't think we had enough players to make up 11.

Wondering what kind of side Rotherham will have as according to their list of friendlies they play Falkirk 7:30 18th, Livi at 3 on the 19th and Queen of the south at 3PM on the 20th.

It's pretty bad of the club not to give us a bit of notice on friendlies or to find out details of friendlies from other sources.

We have listed the Spartans tourney as a first team friendly on official site. However a wee look at Dunfermlines site tells us that they are sending their under 20s not the first team. Sounds a bit of a mix up to me.

IIRC we usually list friendlies on the first team fixture list regardless of the team that plays (I think Cove Rangers was one a couple of years ago, and we played our reserve team). Wouldn't be surprised if our team for the tournament was a few first team players, with some youth and trialists.

I'm too lazy to look at the moment but is there any admission details regarding next weekend?

Won't be able to attend Forfar/Arbroath, anyone aware if the LIVItv crew will be in attendance?

I'll only be able to get the Spartans tournament and maybe the Rotherham game. Gutted I can't get to Arbroath, never been there before!

Looking forward to seeing our new signings. That takes our squad to 20 according to official site. Could be an interesting season.

Think we still have the four youth players to get profiles on there.

Should manage to get along to the Spartans tournament one of the 2 days at least probably the Saturday, and the Rotherham game. No manage the midweek away games.

We beat Motherwell 2-1 in a bounce game today. Talbot and Praprotnik scored for us.

Pleasing, particularly in regards to Praprotnik. Hope he gets a bit more game time.

Have a feeling Praprotnik will be pretty dece this season.

Could well be a decent season............. Could we get 4th spot ?
