I'd prefer a game against Hearts/Hibs preferably at home but wouldn't mind if it was away either, but have a feeling we'll get something like Cowdenbeath away.

2014/15 Fixtures
Fixtures are released on Wednesday at 9am. Who does everyone think we'll get/who would you like us to get?

Re: 2014/15 Fixtures
Chances are we'll get a 'glamour' fixture first game, given there are so many local teams this season. Home to Hearts, Hibs or Falkirk. Total punt in the dark at Hibs.

Re: 2014/15 Fixtures
I would say I'd prefer to start with an easy home game to help the squad settle but there aren't really any this season. Cowden at home would be as close to an easy fixture as I can think of.

Re: 2014/15 Fixtures
Would like Hibs at home, failing that anyone but Falkirk, was sick of them beating us last season and have a feeling they'll do the same to us this season.

Re: 2014/15 Fixtures
Hope we get a home game. I was thinking I don't want the rangers, hearts or hibs or is it a case of get them out the way early on then focus on the rest of the season? A home game against Alloa or Cowden would make me happy but I've had a feeling for a while we'll be going to ibrox or tynecastle for the first game. Knowing our luck, we'll start the season with away to the rangers, home to hibs, away to hearts and home to Falkirk.

Pretty decent run of games until a double header against Hearts (A) and Rangers (H) in September/October.

Re: 2014/15 Fixtures
3 away games in the first 4 weeks, great for the clubs finances after the close season, hopefully the ST money will cover things. We opened away to Alloa last season too, don't seem to get these things rotated.
Wanted Hibs at home but at least we got them, got Hearts away too in our first encounter, thankfully the Rangers are at home though so we'll get a big home gate from that fixture.

One issue I can see is that we play Rangers and Hearts at home around Christmas time. Any postponment could really hurt the club.

The The Rangers game is away so wont make any dif to us but they'll have USH so will be fine and would imagine surrounding roads at Ibrox will be kept clear.
The Hearts fixture is a sensible one, you don't want to be travelling too far in these xmas fixtures, shame they've got us going away to Dumfries in the New Year game though. Someone has to do it so just stick Livi down for that one.

Tough 4 match ran late September/early October with Hearts (A), Rangers (H), Falkirk (A) and Hibs (H).

Would have been nice to come up against Alloa or Raith etc for a nice easy start but I can't argue with Hibs away (even though I'll miss it)
Hopefully a large away crowd for this one

Re: 2014/15 Fixtures
I like having Hibs away as the opener.
New Manager, new team, crowd against them, we'll be classed as the underdogs, possible TV match. Could be a wee three pointer for us if we can get out the blocks quickly this year.

Not a TV match when you have Rangers V Hearts on the same day.

Yeah then the following week the tv game will be the Hearts v Hibs derby. Wonder if they'll do Falkirk v The Rangers game too.

I agree. Fingers crossed we can take something above 500, possibly leaning to 1000.Achilles wrote:Would have been nice to come up against Alloa or Raith etc for a nice easy start but I can't argue with Hibs away (even though I'll miss it)

The Sevco v Hearts game will most likely be moved to a lunchtime kick off. Ours could be on after it, might even be on the Sunday but fingers crossed it's not.

Can't wait for the new season. Bring on the hibs! Good early season challenge for both sides. Hibs with a new manager and ideas,a relatively newly put together team who may well still be gelling,it could be a decent chance for us to start with a point or even all 3.

Rangers v Hearts has been moved to Sunday to be on Sky. Doubt ours will be on TV though, unless BBC Alba want it.

With the gate prices rumoured to be £23 adult and £12 kids I doubt it will encourage us to take 500 fans, I was bursting to go to the first league game but seriously thinking about not going now. #grudgepayingthat.
