To Livingston, playing away from home against a team from Paisley called St Mirren.

    Happy festivities everyone.

Was just a game where things went for us so can't get carried away. Chuffed to bits with the performance and result though, should've been 5 or 6 with sheerin getting 2 chances when he came on, esp the 2nd one which hit Langfield's legs.

Game was pretty even to start with, St Mirren playing with more flow than us as we couldn't control a first touch or make a decent pass. Two really good deliveries for our first half goals exposed Langfield being dodgy, well put away too. St Mirren caught us on the break with a run down the wing and ball into the box to take them into the break only a goal behind.

Was a bit apprehensive to how we'd come out 2nd half, sit in again or continue as we left off, thankfully it was the latter. Could see it going either way at this point, we looked like we could score another goal but also just as likely to concede, near fell off my seat when Glen scored from a free kick, well worked decoy running to the right and Glen put it over the wall and into the net.

Couldn't see us losing it now, and St Mirren were leaving big gaps in defence for us to exploit as they were forced to push for a goal. Absolute peach of a pass from White for Buchanan's 2nd, defence splitting pass right on Buchanan's toe, nicely slipped past Langfield too.

Sheerin came on and immediately got through on goal after we pounced on a loose ball, but couldn't manage to get a goal. He got an even better chance not long after and tried to slip it past Langfield but it hit his legs and went past the post.

Young Knox didn't get on the ball much as by that time we were just happy to see the game out but he looked pretty lively and composed on the ball.

As I said to start with, things went right for us for a change with our first two goals giving us a great start, and 2nd half we just picked them off. That takes nothing away from the players though as they worked hard and got what they deserved for their efforts. Need more consistency now and take this result into our next game against Falkirk. That will be a really tough match but if we carry on with the same energy and effort as today we'll give them a game.

I always doubt myself when typing Hopkin's name so end up Googling it, too lazy last time and completely missed it in the post right above mine  Laughing

Good win that, and good to see Knox getting a run out. St Mirren are pish though so won't get ahead of myself but hopefully we can put a good performance in against Falkirk and steal a point or 3.

Watched Glen's goal on Twitter, some strike.

Oh and can I just say, Stephen Finnie is an arse, booked Hippo for prodding the ball away after we conceded a foul, which is fair enough as he was silly to do so when we were 4-1 up and cruising, but then he let a St Mirren player away with blootering the ball away in a temper when it was our throw in. Double bloody standards.

Didn't think Sheerin's was a yellow card either, looked like he managed to stretch out his leg and get the ball when he was lying on the ground and the St Mirren player went over the ball.

    Anyway GIRUY Finnie.

Special mention to the angry St Mirren fans in our stand too, brilliant entertainment listening to them going mental all game. Greggy

St Mirren is always at least an 8/10 away day if we keep fucking off their fans and keep nicking results. The Burchil duffers like Faria, Glen and Longridge were on excellent form today.

The Amber Machine. The Franchise. The Livingston FC. One love. One LFC.

A very welcome 3 points today to temporeraly lift the gloom thats been hanging over us these last few weeks.Admitidly against a poor St Mirrin team but nevertheless well done lads.Onwards now to Grangemouth on Tuesday night. Its about time we gave those bairns a spanking on their own patch but think we may have to settle for a point in this one.No bad thing with the way theyve being playing lately.Belated seasons greetings to all the posters and fellow Livi fans, hope yous had a good one.

Brilliant performance and right away you could see a little difference in attitude from the squad and the fans. You felt that the team were trying to get us back on side and be in this together and it was a nice touch to bring the team right over to where we were situated and do the steps warm up right in front of us and applaud us and us in return doing the same to them.

Four goals great balls in from Glen for the first two , geez decent balls into the box that's a novel idea, a then fantastic free kick from Glen albeit the keeper should have saved it but great strike. The fourth goal was brilliant because of the pass which was top drawer from White it was a worldie. His celebration after the goal told everyone he was chuffed with his assist and the whole team celebrating in front of us reminded me of that day at Cowdenbeath when we realised we may just get out of the relegation mire.

Buchanan and White now scored eight goals each this season , not a bad front two at all .

Fantastic team performance thank you for helping us enjoy our Boxing Day.

When you look at our goal difference and the two teams above us it makes you feel we have had some bad luck in odd goal defeats and draws. We are on -4 while Dumbarton are on -15 and QOS on -9.
Great result yesterday. Before the game I was sitting in the stand frozen and damp expecting nothing and wondering why I was there. Felt great walking out at 10 to 5.
