My main 2 choices would be Jack Ross or John Hughes. Ross for an obv reason that it would have an adverse effect on Alloa our main rival this season, and Hughes for the LOLS. Would love to see Hughes with his passing from the back football in a team that will struggle down the bottom of the table, he'd def get them relegated.

Re: Next St Mirren Manager
Neither does anyone else by the looks of it.
Anything that disrupts and weakens our opposition would do me, and if Ross got the job he'd take back Gordon too which would be good.

Re: Next St Mirren Manager
Ross might want to finish the job of getting Alloa up rather than risk failure and taking Saints down to the 3rd tier, which I think would be for the first time for a club which really ought to be at the very least challenging for the 2nd tier title and promotion.
Having said I don't care... It would be hilarious if Hughes was to take them down

Re: Next St Mirren Manager
Ross has been at St Mirren according to the jungle telegraph, and St Mirren have been given permission to talk with him, so he could be away soon. Maybe his heads not completely on the job recently with this St Mirren job on offer, that's a draw and a defeat in his last 2 games.
Or maybe we started them on a run of bad results after we humped them, they've only won one game since then, and even then they scraped it against QP..

Looks like it's either Jack Ross or Gus McPherson for the job, then. Have to say, I think Ross would definitely turn St Mirren around, he is destined for bigger things than Alloa certainly.

Here's hoping Ross leaving Alloa sends then into a tailspin

Think Burchill might have an outside chance of taking over. The kind of appointment they seem to make anyway.

They're already in a tailspin, slipped down to 3rd place, reckon he jumped ship before it all went completely pear shape at Alloa and his rep suffered.

Burchill v Hopkin, the League One version of Mourinho v Guardiola.

Goodwin confirmed as Player manager at Alloa, here's hoping he works out as well for them as Lambert did for us.
