No mention of BT footie on this Sat, will go anyway and see if they have it on. Fancy a steak pie with puff pastry and a Krafty beer.

Re: Almondvale Suite
If they get the BT football they should also do Champions league nights, I think they'd get a decent amount of folk going down to have some beers and watch the CL games in the AS. Would have to advertise it properly though, not many pubs in Livi I'd want to spend time in but the AS would be one of them if they got games on to watch during the week, esp a Friday as the Saltire is good but the music/karaoke starting at 9pm does my head in when it's too loud.

Re: Almondvale Suite
That's a good idea. If you put that out on FB, twitter and the club OS you'd get good numbers going down. I ain't got BT so I'd pop down once a fortnight for some CL football and a few jars.

Errrm.....
Did I read that right?
£5.50 for macaroni cheese?
Or a Hotdog and a pint for more or less the same money?
Know what I'd go for.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Is this place still open to fans before home games or is it just the stadium bar?

Re: Almondvale Suite
Don't know if the stadium bar is open but the AS is yep. Pretty good in there now with the football on the TV's and decent beer & grub.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Hi there.First time poster so bear with me.Ive been going down to the Almondvale Suite since day one and theres no
better place to go to pre match. The banter is good as is the beer. The food is excellent and live football as well.Ifind it hard to understand why so many of our so called real supporters go elsewhere on a matchday when its right here on your doorstep.Come and join us ,you wont be dissapointed.Cheers.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Hi Troy, it has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride supporting Livi, many ups and downs, the AS has also been like that. Under Massone things really went downhill, beer was poor quality, staff not being paid, low moral, no floats with change in the tills, things in general were just run down.
The Livi 5 took over and it picked up a bit but after a while things were just going through the motions down there. Food creations left and came back again, away fans only in the AS last season was the final straw for me and I was contemplating going elsewhere pre match because there was no food in the stadium bar, no football on the TV's, not even beer on tap.
However Food Creations has opened the AS to home & away fans this season and done the place up, got the beer sorted, TV's showing live football, everything is cushty, as good as it has ever been. After it being so down in the dumps it prob drove a lot of people away, the word will need to get round that it is a nice place to go again, and it isn't very well advertised. The OS hasn't got anything about the live football being shown either, that is a big selling point to a lot of fans pre match.

Aye, good to see our website has turned to absolute dug shite again. At least it used to look quite good if little content. Now there's fuck all content and it looks like its dated from the 1998-99 season.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Hi Lexi.I would agree with everything you said above. However i think that due to the success weve had in our short history its a shame that we tend to wollow in the past rightly or wrongly.i guess as true livi fans its in our blood.Regarding the current state of affairs at the A/S i spoke to Simon at the last home game and he told me that he is only in charge of the A/S and hospitality and not the Stadium Bar.Having said that i know where i would want to spend my pre match on a matchday. The regulars in the A/S have asked for various things recently and Simon has come up trumps everytime.i agree the word has to be spread to let people know and not to rely on our pish O/S website,Simon is hopeing to rectify that problem soon, weve already stated to him the importance of selling the A/S to people old and young.Anyway enough of my inane dribble for the moment.Expect more postings on various subjects from me soon,Keep the faith. TROY.

Re: Almondvale Suite
I've only made it to the AS once this season because I saw it was advertised as open on Facebook before the Morton match in September. Wasn't sure if it was open all the time but on that one occasion it was very good, would definitely visit again.

Re: Almondvale Suite
If you talk to Simon ask him if he ever thought about opening the AS midweek for champions league games, providing he gets it advertised in the Courier and on the OS etc I think it would be a hit. Get some promotions* going as an added selling point to get the word spread around too, some out of the box thinking is what Livi needed to do down there but they seem to think the games sell themselves.
*Maybe the Krafty beer company guys would be interested in helping him out there, they do that sort of thing at their place in Edin when you go to buy their beer.

Re: Almondvale Suite
I think the AS is decent, obviously it has to be a multifunction space and has to accommodate lots of different things throughout the year, but it always feels a bit odd watching the football / having a beer there. Having to sit round big white wedding tables. They really need the stadium bar to be open, somewhere to watch the football and have a beer in a more pub like environment.

Re: Almondvale Suite
As ive said before your never going to please everybody. However i can say that Simon and his team are working their preverable arses off to accomodate anyone who comes into the A/S.Personally i go to the suite because i feel comfortable and safe in the surroundingsThe stadium Bar is ok for after games.Would be to cramped pre match although i get your point about a pub envioremt LOL.

It can't even get the scores right, check the Alloa and Dumbarton results on there.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Clo$£d to Livingston fans on Saturday. The Huns have it all to themselves instead. We have the Stadium Bar which doesn't do food and is about the size of a downstairs toilet.
I hope that someday I have the money to buy Livingston, just so our own fans are taken into account at least some of the time.

Did that last season too, all about the money for food creations, only they forget the Livi fans are the ones that make it worth their while being there for all the other home games.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Unfortunatly will have to forego the A/S this week, and dont let anyone kid you ,it is a money making excersise as is the rest of the day. Also heard from a Rangers fan its only costing them 15 quid for their tickets. If this is true the club needs to take a long hard look at itself. What an oppotunity to make some much needed cash for the coffers.Anyway at least i can get a few beers in the wee bar before we get an unlikely result against these wannabes.Do it LIVI.

Yeah I just let that wash over me, think he meant well.
Bad timing though with the AS kicking home fans into touch for the Sevco game.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Sorry if ive upset anyone about my view on the A/S.It was only my own personal opinion AMF Being new to this forum posting i will sometimes get carried away with myself.I will try in future to give good honest replies to any topic i happen to peruse on.Must admit though it did leave a bitter taste being punted to the wee bar on Saturday.Hopefully Simon will do something about it next although i understand why it happend.Anyway weather we,re so called or true i like to think we are all Livi fans with the same goal to see the club being successfull of the park as well as on it.Hope this was a more favourable post than my original.LOL.

Re: Almondvale Suite
Hell of a good of them opening it to the home fans this week. Hope they've fumigated it after the unwashed Sevco horde visit.
