Cathro Sacked.

Hope this doesn't affect Todorov's loan deal when a new manager is appointed.

Bit of a shame it didn't work out for Cathro, he was something different from the same old same old school of management and the pundits didn't really want it to work, for that reason alone I was hoping he'd be a success. You just don't get the time to turn things around though, well not usually, just shows how wrong you can be sometimes wanting managers punted, our board stuck with Hopkin when us fans wanted rid, and they were rewarded for having faith in him, which was really unLivi like with our track record of going through managers.

Cathro has been an unmitigated disaster though. I don't know the ins & outs of it obviously (the constraints he was under and the quality of player has dropped off) but he presided over a sequence of results that was relegation form and finished 3rd behind Dunfermline & Peterhead. His position was untenable & frankly Levein should be going with him because his role has totally undermined Cathro from the start.

If they don't get the right guy in now they could be in for a long hard season

Think Levein needs to go before things get much better for Hearts, he'd be as well just naming himself manager.
