I'd expect Hopkin to start our strongest line up for this and that would mean starting De Vita and Mullin as the WBs. Hopefully we get a good turnout as the club deserves it for the effort they've put in to give us a chance of promotion when nobody expected it.

Dundee United 1. Livingston 2. FG 26 mins.

Wonder if Hardie will be on the subs bench for this and bring him on 2nd half. Suppose we can put out our best XI with our play off game another 10 days away after this one, as long as we don't get any red cards or injuries i'm not that bothered about the result though. All about getting players ready for the play offs, giving them a run out and keeping them fit.

Just for the end of league giggles, 3-0 Livi, fg 12 mins.

Just seen who is officiating this game, none other than the man who has given out 3 red cards to our players in 3 games this season, Greg Aitken. Oh joy, just what we need.

Maybe Gallagher should sit this one out, him and Mohsni are red cards waiting to happen in this game.

Thompson was the only one that was a straight red though wasn't it

I thought that the team that Hoppy put out the other night did extremely well considering and indeed were so unlucky not to take something from the game.I kinda suspect it may be a simmilar scenario tommorow and would fully understand and yes this particular referee has not been to kind to us recently so in that pretext im slightly worried about some of our more rumbustious players going that wee bit to far.Momentum of course will be important heading into the Playoffs but not at the expense of suspensions or injuries.Weve been absolutely brilliant this season and this team deserves to have a crack at getting upstairs.Oh and great news about Pitts and Rafa staying with us next season and more to follow it seems Theyve both been tremendous this season so thank and well done to both of them.Cmon Livi Do it!!!

I've no idea how this will go depending on what team is played so I'll go for a simple 1 -1 with FG on 50 mins

All Livi so far, but my early goal time has come and gone, hit the bar and a few close ones but no cigar.

Dunfermline 3-0 up against 10 man Dumbarton, looks like they're going to be 3rd.

Mullin on for Cadden, here comes a last minute equalise when Josh fires it across for Hardie to knock in.

2 defeats on the bounce for the first time since we got relegated... Glad it happened now rather than the play-offs BUT not liking the loss of momentum.

Also not liking the fact we haven't beaten Dunfermline all season or the fact United have a better head to head record against us. If we take each pair of games they win 3-2 on aggregate each time.

So we might go into the play-offs as runners-up but I would still say we are underdogs.

I wouldn't worry about that score. The performance was good and we were the better team for long spells of the game. Unlucky not to score with some that went just wide or hit the bar. The players will know that and hopefully be even more determined if we get them again.

It's Bertie being Bertie Orco, he'd still be finding something to worry bout had we won today.

Shame it's our first back to back league defeats in 2 seasons but it was under strange circumstances of being the better team in both games but the cutting edge in front of goal wasn't there with it being 'friendly' type games. Wouldn't have happened if we'd been playing for real with something to gain.

We lost all our pre season games and it meant nothing when we started the serious stuff, same again in the play offs would be good. Mon the Lions, we can do it.bounce

See... That's easy to say, it's easy to dismiss these 2 games on the basis that they were meaningless to us.... But compare that with the attitude of Man City after winning the title... They trained harder the week after winning it than they had all season & wiped Swansea all over the floor.

It is important to always keep the momentum going; once you drop the intensity it is much more difficult to pick it up again. It can happen in a match & it can happen over a season.

We have been the better side in these last 2 matches but have drawn 2 blanks & lost them both. Neither are good signs going into an enforced lay while our next opponents get the chance to build on last day of the season wins, building confidence, while we dwell on two losses without scoring & not having a game to get it out of our system for, what, 10 days or so?

Of course, I hope you are proven to be right.

It's still a completely different situation to have won the league and have nothing more to play for (us last season and still winning games) and having 2nd place sewn up but play offs games still to come. Getting injured will be on the players minds, Hardie against ICT pulled out of a 50/50 with their keeper when he had been played through, no danger he'll do that in the play offs, it had a pre season feel to it on Tues night, yes we played well enough but that wee bit of edge was missing, and it wont be in the play offs. We didn't even pick up a booking from a ref who has sent 3 of our players off, that tells you all you need to know about how full bloodied we played today. lol!

Why bust a gut just to win meaningless games so you have momentum, what momentum did we have going into the season after the pre season defeats> Main thing was getting the players to have a good run out and stay injury free, I have no fear whatsoever about us being up for the play offs a week on Mon, Hoppy will have them well prepared, maybe even have a bounce game arranged next week to keep us ticking over.

A meaningless game, not surprised that we were on the losing side. No biggy! As long as the players bring the heat for the playoffs.

Hats off to the away support today. Possibly the best away support I can remember for years. Spotted a couple of old faces/glory hunters from the past there as well. Just wish we could take a crowd like that away more often. It surely must give the players a boost to hear such a vocal support.

Would have to agree with Bertie on this one in that back to back defeats is not the ideal preperation for going into these playoffs. However this team is where they are due to the consistency over the whole season and as such thoughrally deserve a crack at the top table of Scottish football.Maybe we are just leading the other teams into a false sense of security here and come out the traps with all guns blazing.Hopefully a wee session with big Hartson will benefit the guys.Anyways once again well done to Hoppy and the lads for getting us here in the first place,a tremendous achievment and one that will stay in the memory of all Livi fans for many years to come.Cmon Livi Do it!!!

I doubt we're leading anyone into a false sense of security Troy, we weren't going into it full pelt and treated it like a pre season/play offs game. Even if we'd won it would meant absolutely nothing when/if we met Utd again in the play offs. Nobody likes losing but this game had as much to do with keeping the players ticking over and njury free as anything else. If we'd went in full bloodied and had an important player sent off by Aitken, or someone like Hardie injured would you have been happy then, nope, it wasn't worth it, and the players knew that. They'll be well up for it on the 7th of May and hopefully Utd or Dunfermline will have suffered from having to play 2 play offs games before playing us.
