Scary when you look at the fixture list seeing where we'll get an easy game, there aren't any, reality of being in the big boy's league is now kicking in.

St Mirren away in our 3rd fixture is prob the first one we will be looking at to pick up 3 points from.

Bit of a bummer only getting one home game against Celtic and Hearts, they'll be the two largest travelling supports, doubt we'll be in the top 6 after the split to get the 2nd home game against them.

Got 2 against Hibs and Sevco right enough but for some reason Hibs don't bring as many as Hearts.

As ever the SPFL sticking it to Livi. I see we have two away games over Christmas too.

Dundee away on Boxing day is a bit of a bummer, Hibs away is only along the M8 so could have been worse. but better Aberdeen at home on the 29th than away on a potentially miserable day at the end of the year.

Of the ones that are most likely to end in the top half by the split I would assume these to be (in terms of travelling support):
    1. Celtic
    2. Hearts
    3. The Rangers
    4. Aberdeen
    5. Hibs

From what I can see only The Rangers and Hibernian are likely to visit us twice which is a bit of a kick in the teeth (although not as much as needing to play Celtic away three times during our first appearance in the SPL because the authorities were so cock sure we wouldn't finish in the top half let alone second)

Suppose Hearts could be in the bottom 6 too, then we'll get our 2nd home game against them, they don't look any great shakes just now. Or we might just surprise the shit out of everyone again and get a top 6 spot.

With the shite they've signed and with Levein in charge it'll be a miracle for them to go higher than 6th, and if they do get in the top 6 they'll probably end with less points than the eventual 7th placed team. My bet would be on Celtic, Aberdeen, Rangers*, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, and Motherwell getting more points than them.

Personally i wasnt to bothered about the fixture list because as orco suggested earlier we were never gonna get any favours from them in Mount Florida. The ongoing saga of when and who is going to be our new manager has left me bewildered and deflated and whoever it is aint gonna have a lot of time to get to know the sqaud hes inherited. This should have been sorted weeks ago instead of us having to endure the pantomine that is going on down there at the moment.Make no bones about it this hasnt done the club any good imo and the sooner it is resolved the better for all concerned. My feeling for the coming season is that i go into it with hope as opposed to optomism and if we can refrain from being cut adrift early in the season we might just be able to catch some teams on the hop with the surprise factor which we know we are capable of.Hopefully we might get Hardie back on loan and Neil and Craig sign on to be with us would certainly give me that we bit extra hope ive spoken about earlier.Anyway enough of my jibbering, lets have a go and see where it takes us.Oh and close season piss off i want my football back asap.LOL.T.
