Top 6 Race With 2 Games To Go

Doubt the split has ever been as tight as this, with 3 top 6 places still to play for and only 3 points separating 6 teams, with Aberdeen only 1 more point behind. Dundee Utd is prob safe getting there, on 39 pts, as the games left to play for some teams would need them winning both games to get above them, and that isn't likely. So only 1 point separates 5 teams, and another point further back is Aberdeen.

And an updated version with the two games left to play for all the teams involved.

United - 39 points.  Hibs (A) Dundee (H)

Hibs - 37 points.  United (H) Hearts (A)

Livi - 37 points.  St Johnstone (A) Motherwell (H)

County - 36 points.  Hearts (H) Aberdeen (A)

Motherwell - 36 points.  St Mirren (H) Livi (A)

St Mirren - 36 points.  Motherwell (A) Sevco (H)

Aberdeen - 35 points.  Dundee (A) County (H)

4 pts would seal it for us, maybe even 3 pts, can't see any team winning both games in those fixtures. St Mirren are prob fecked with them having Sevco, as is County with them playing Hearts, we'll have it in our own hands with a home games against Motherwell, win that and we'll do it, or if we get a win against St Johnstone a draw would make it impossible for Motherwell to get above us.

Yeah, can’t remember it ever being that tight in the mid-table area.

I think the very first 10 team premier league in the 70’s had a tight finish from 4th or 5th to 9th and of course back then 2 teams went down. The team in 10th (St Johnstone) were adrift if I remember correctly.

But this is the tightest race in recent times esp with European places up for grabs
