    Hmmm

    I thought Boyes was a loan signing….

The main point though, get Sean Kelly on a contract, he’s been outstanding in his midfield role

Nope Boyes left Liverpool to sign for Livingston, to get first team football. Same as McMillan and Sibbald are going to do next season, leaving Livi.

Well IMO that’s good, he has played well these last few games.

Shame to see Jack & Craig go, they are both decent players but it’s hard to break into a side when you are almost certainly the back up rather than the first choice and in that respect they were important squad members. Maybe something DM has to work on is varying his subs policy (we all pretty well knew when & what subs he was going to make & it was usually like for like rather than change it up) so that players like these two get more game time.

New signing looks promising, another combative midfielder that played with Omeonga.

Livingston FC is pleased to confirm the signing of defensive midfielder Scott Bitsindou from Belgian side KSK Lierse Kempenzonen.

Australian CB Phillip Cancar signed up now too.

Livingston FC is pleased to announce the pre-contract signing of Australian defender Phillip Cancar from A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers.

Phill joins on a 2-year-deal with the club having an option on a 3rd year and will wear the number 25.

I'm hawdin back till I've actually seen him.Apparently he needs an arm around him just like Davie did with Dolly.Willing to judge when I see him in the flesh,so to speak.

Aye from what the St Mirren fans are saying, he has the talent but is a JET situation fitness wise, having put on a bit of weight.

We'd never be able to get a player of his calibre at the top of his game, Davie is having to take a gamble on these type of players and get them focussed on doing well for us. I'm sure Davie will put him through a good pre season to get him ready for the season starting, fully fit he'll be a brilliant signing.

A whiff of the Poplatniks about this signing.  Poor scoring record in obscure leagues before coming here.  Took a few (I'm assuming) lucrative moves to said obscure leagues at a young age.  Really want to be proved wrong here.

Good record in this country at St Mirren and Hearts though, and he wont need time having to adjust to the Scottish game.

That's Forrest signed for Hearts, no word about Stryjek or Fitzwater being approached by anyone though, which is good news.

My opinion on Max changes constantly. The way I'm feeling about him just now, I'd be happy to see him leave. I think the big Russian has what it takes to fill his gloves!

Not really seen enough of Ivan yet, i'd prefer Max to still be here and Ivan having to earn the GK shirt, we at least know Max is a good keeper. Even if prone to the odd blunder, he's been solid and reliable in the majority of games.

Agreed… Ivan has poor distribution based on what I’ve seen and not too sure about his handling of crosses.

Aye he seemed reluctant to come for high balls, staying on his line. Sometimes you just want the keeper to come and punch the ball away to feck, or grab it in the air. Would like to see him getting the cup games to have a better look at him, and Max remaining in goals for our league games.

I like a keeper to command his area and be decisive. Last one we had that did that was Neil Alexander. The boy we had on loan a couple of seasons ago was good too. Sarkic ? It's a position Livi have not been great at filling. St Mirren have had some good goalies recently.

Yeah Sarkic was brilliant for us, the best at kicking the ball out since Broto i reckon.

Liam Kelly was a good keeper for us the 2nd time around too, and is excellent for Motherwell.

Max is decent enough but can be wild and erratic at times, slapping the Aberdeen player in the coupon was top bantz right enough (mainly because he's the cheating wee git that got Montano sent off), but lucky to get away with it during the game.

He gives me heart palpitations when he feigns kicking the ball to send the opposition player the wrong way, but is good dealing with pass backs, which is just as well the amount of times we pass the ball back to him.

When you look back through the years.Weve been fortunate in the keepers weve had through the years imo. From Douglas Broto Sarkic Alexander Kelly etc.Max is a game saviour in most hences. As some have said weve not seen enough of him as yet to critic,Ivan that is.Remise of me not to mention DJ as well, shot stopper par excellence. Would hope Max is still with us start of the season.Until such time he's our no 1.

Paper talk of us being interested in striker Toyosi Olusanya who has asked to be released from Middlesbrough so he can get first team football somewhere. St Mirren and Motherwell are also meant to be interested in him.

Can't see us being able to offer him more than either of those teams. We do have Davie's silver tongue mind you. Razz

Must be a big assister if he got a move to Middlesbrough at 22/23 after playing a handful of games and hardly scoring for a few non-league teams.

Funnily enough that's what i was thinking after reading he'd got the GK coach job. lol!

Good appointment though, he knows the club and staff well, seems a good guy to have about for morale etc, and also helped with coaching Dykes too if iirc. Sure he spent time with Dykes helping him chip the keeper after messing it up against Sevco, and the following game he chipped the 6ft 7 Celtic keeper to score in our 2-0 win over them.

Played abroad and down south with Montano and Jacko. Was hoping we'd bring in a striker to help Joel and Bruce and not relying on Goncalves.Looks decent and hopefully Davies judgement proves fruitfull.🤞.
