Looking at the Daily Record article it doesn't sound like Jay Emanuel Thomas is f definitely off - I read it more like he hasn't had enough starts to kick off the automatic extension and is therefore trying to keep his options open in case we don't offer him a new contract?

EDIT - looking increasingly likely that we wont be able to afford to keep him on the books.

Martindale said Jet is on peanuts. He's bound to get a better paid club than us to sign him though, so doubt he'll still be here next season.

Beneficial to both parties this season, he was nowhere near fit enough when we signed him, and we've got him super fit for signing with another club, and he's starting to make it well worth our efforts with his goals and contribution in games this Month.

Should give us some much needed physicality in defence, scores a decent number of goals too, presumably from set pieces, which have dried up for us.
Will be interesting to see where Martindale plays him, he's a CB but has done well for QotS in front of the defence as a DM. Already got Diani for that role too, and is supposed to be replacing Marv playing there, prob in 2 seasons.

Ross Stewart on an PCA to Hearts, canny wait for us to play them and stick some high balls into their box.

Assuming Craig Gordon continues to play for them Stewart will be nothing more than a benchwarmer.

Dunno he's played some games for them this season, and they still signed him.

Officially announced now, Obileye signed the PCA for Livi, will be signed on a 2 year deal, with option for a 3rd year next month when his contract with QotS runs out.




Sounds a good signing, 2nd top goal scorer in the Championship, just behind Boyce of Hearts, and he's a defender. Big aggressive Physical player, good with the ball at his feet and can play as a CB, or a DM. Potential to be as good as Halkett was for us. In fact sounds like Gallagher and Halkett rolled into one player.

LIVINGSTON are poised to sign pacy Port Vale wideman Cristian Montano.

Colombian Montano, 29, is out of contract at the Valiants and had attracted interest from other clubs down south.

Sounds promising for next season, we've moved from lower league SPFL, Irish and Thailand, to the top 6 EPL & English leagues for loans/transfers. Although we got into the Swiss and French leagues too. We've fairly moved up in the world since hitting the Premiership's top 6 two seasons running.

"I don't want to name them but I have been contacted by a few of the top six clubs in England who are now wanting to work with Livingston and they have actually contacted myself.

"So that's a fantastic opportunity for Livingston Football Club to try and manipulate over the next two or three seasons.

"A couple of them came off the back of Football Focus, they saw me on Football Focus and maybe did a bit of background on the club and saw how well we are doing.

"And again they will look into the likes of Declan Gallagher and Lyndon Dykes no doubt."

Martindale is working on getting some deals over the line.

"I've got a couple," he said. "We are going to try and get our work done early.

We are predominately looking at the English market and I'm dealing with a couple of Premier League clubs about a couple of loan deals.

"And I've got a couple of players on the radar that have played a lot of league football in England. Hopefully something will materialise over the next two weeks especially with League One and League Two in England being finished."

Martindale is fairly building up a network of very decent contacts.

I'd have been gutted about that last season, this season not so much, still hope he stays but he's not been anywhere near as good this season.

Rumour JET signing for Aberdeen will get us Bruce Anderson, good deal if it happens, JET was leaving anyway, and Anderson could be a very good signing for us.

Anderson is young hungry and skillfull. Agree he would be a terrific addition to the squad.Would be good business if we can a player who will be in demand from other teams.Sorry to see Jet go and wish him well,except against us.

Jon Guthrie – Has asked to be placed on the transfer list due to family reasons.

A lot of players leaving, but looking at it clinically we only need 3 big signings to replace the best players from that list.

JET/Robbo- Both filled the same role, 1 decent signing needed to replace them.

Guthrie-Not his best season but will still be a big loss.

Brown-Don't think we fully recovered from Brown leaving, our defence was never the same.

Serrano would've prob been in there too but he's already been replaced by Longridge, and we've also signed Montano to play there, also have McMillan who's played LB, so adequately covered already.

That's the main ones for me, the rest are a bit meh, easily replaced, or just wont be noticed that they're gone.

Also looks like Marv will be gone, so Obileye will step into his place sooner rather than later.

Yup.

Had to look twice and rub my eyes.Dougie Imrie joins us as an academy coach and assistant to Davie. Couldn't stand him as a player but his experience with the Accies young ones will stand us in good stead now that the academy is back in full swing.Its a direction I can see the club going forward with in the future and hopefully Dougie can unearth one or two gems.And him and Davie in the same dugout,who'dve thought.Cant wait and I wish him well .

Yep, brings a wealth of experience from Accies youth academy, great appointment by Livi.

Just need to finish 4th or 5th and get a European place now we're going to have a youth academy again, that was the main stumbling block in being allowed entry into European games.

Got Stretch wrong though

Transfer rumour we're interested in signing Burke from Killie, 9 goals and 6 assists for them last season, even though he's 37, he's clearly not past it. Good at taking free kicks and pens too.
St Mirren are also after him.
