Pre-Season Friendlies

We lost 3-0 to Sunderland today, brilliant goal from Borini.

Sunderland XI: Pickford, Jones, Kaboul, Kone, Yedlin, Cattermole, E Robson, Larsson, Toivonen, Borini, N’Doye.

Livingston XI: McCallum, Halkett, Cole, Gordon, Kakay, Mullin, Fotheringham, Pittman, Stanton, Telfer, White
Subs: Quinn, Sheerin, Mullen, Neill, Currie, Longridge

All our subs got at least half an hour, with Quinn playing the last 15 mins in goal.

Just had a look at the official site and see Livi have managed to fill another free weekend with yet another big glamour friendly. Possible all ticket game ?

I'm surprised they haven't mentioned it on the Twitter/Facebook yet. Seem to give us more updates on GS than the actual team sometimes.

Having the score up in the Fixtures & Results section of the OS spoils the look of our wee 3 games unbeaten run.

That's an absolute ridneck! What are we going to achieve against a supporters team? Horrendous! 

Well Aston Villa u20's recently gubbed the Villa first team 3-0; so we could prove to be even worse & lose to the fans team....albeit a pretty successful fan's team.

Only saw the news now. Pretty bloody amateur, particularly with a relegation run-in.

Stop begging GS. Only a few of their players actually still go to games on a rare occasion, from what I understand.

As long as nobody gets injured then I think it's a reasonable way to keep things ticking over, you would expect the pros to win comfortably but there might be 1 or 2 "fans" that can play and haven't been "discovered" by the usual methods... No idea as I've never seen them play but who knows, stranger things have happened.... Jamaican bobsleigh team anyone?

Yeah no mad Talbot esque challenges from the GS players getting carried away, we don't want any injuries to our players from a fans team. It's just a bounce game to give the team a run out in a pre season friendly mode game.s team.

It'll also be nice for some of the "fans" team to see inside the Vale and familiarise themselves with our players

Turned out to be a preview for the St Mirren game, Shankland's 2 goals were very similar to this one, our players didn't get tight to him in this game and didn't learn anything when they allowed Shankland miles of room to do the same shot twice. Great goals but ffs, stand off a player who is capable of scoring like that and you give him every chance of doing exactly that.

TBF they probably didn't think Shankland was capable of that lol
