Big incentive for a win here, Hibs have Sevco at home on Fri night, so good chance we'd move into 6th place above them if we beat County. Hopefully the wee dick Morelos being suspended doesn't affect them. Ew, feeling dirty wanting the huns to win a game, but it's a sacrifice i'm willing to make for Livi.

Mon the Lions you can do it. bounce

They'll be looking to get revenge for the drubbing we gave them last time. They are awash with decent strikers so our defence will need to be on top form. A win would be my Christmas present from Livi. santa

Based on what I saw at Dingwall, we should win but we should have beaten Accies & a few other sides this season too, so we need to bring our A game.

Stewart is certainly impressing in the Premiership, like Dykes there's a lot of interest in him from English teams. 7 goals from him, interestingly though, only 1 more goal than Lawless has scored for us. Stewart is a big aerial threat from balls played in from the wing, mainly from Mullin, so either need to cut the supply off and stop Mullin, or make sure someone is on Stewart.

Souda has to start again for us, he's hitting a wee purple patch in December, for the love of Christ could we play him and Dykes up front in this game, think we'd run riot and just out score them. Four goals should see us safe. Laughing

    Only 4 if we get 3 ahead, if it’s 4-2 with 10 left we’ll scrape a draw

Game could be off, County have a sickness bug and only eight players not affected by it, they're making a decision tomorrow on whether to ask the SPFL for a postponement on grounds of not being able to field enough fit players to play on Saturday. https://www.ross-shirejournal.co.uk/sport/staggies-struck-down-with-illness-188394/

Teams have tried that in the past & been told to get on with it, don’t see why that should change but of course we now live in “enlightened” times & the PC brigade will probably claim its infringing their right to be ill.

What does eight players "not affected by it" actually mean? Some had the bug and are fit now? Some have a mild version? Some were scared cos they might get it? Some were upset because their wife had it? All of that can "affect" folk. They should have to present doctor's lines or get a couple of emergency loans in.

I bet if it was one of the old firm televised games they were playing there would be no question of postponements. Livi though? Aye!

Livingston v Ross County tomorrow is definitely ON. A virus sweeping the Ross County team led to the Staggies potentially looking at asking for a postponement but the game will definitely go ahead.

Yeah they've reserve players and youth team players, prob is just needed to fill their bench anyway, don't believe they've a full squad out bar 8 players, I call bullshit on that. We couldn't fill the bench for weeks and had players like Robbo and Lithgow just making up the numbers when they clearly weren't fit to play.

Just releived that this is going ahead.Like someone else on another forum said im not buying into this sickness thing after a seemingly miracolous recovery from the said players.BYtheir standards their having a decent season so far and thus im expecting a very tough game against them and feel that we will have to be on our guard.Like L/F id love to see Souda start up front with Dykes and if wee Robbo is fit get him on as well to really bolster our attacking options.Need to keep it tight as well at the back and limit any defensive errors. All in All 3 points are within our grasp and hopefully the lads will grab a home opportunity and do so.I wish them well Do it Livi

Shows how much of an up and down season everyone from 5th place down is having, couple of wins and we could be 5th above Killie. And for balance, we could just as easily slip down to tenth place with a couple of defeats (i'm sure the latter wont happen though). Suspect

A comprehensive win in the end. It was a turgid game until we scored but then we just cruised it.
Nice composed finish from Lamie to open the scoring (Lithgow to Guthrie to Lamie 1-0)
Tremendous pass from Lawless to pick out Dykes clever run & a stonking finish from the big yin 2-0
Excellent play from the two Steve’s to set up Bartley’s shot that was well saved but great follow up & reaction from Pittman to retrieve it & play it back into the danger area ending with a tap in by Dykes 3-0
Tremendous cross (was it Bartley) & brilliant header from Dykes to complete the hat trick 4-0

It was a perfect hat trick too, right, left, head...

Also good seeing Cosgrove was red carded, and will miss the game against us on Boxing day. Also think Porteous will still be suspended when Hibs play us on the 29th Dec, cracking weekend for us.

Comprehensive win in spite of referee Steven. After we scored County became less of a threat. That novovirus certainly kicked in every time one of our players as much as brushed against them. They dropped like flies. Luckily for them they seemed to recover quickly mind you. Rolling Eyes I'd say that was Steve Lawson's best game for us. Good to see Lithgow back too for the full game.
So 10 goals in three games. We're becoming quite the goal machine. Cool
Looks like Aberdeen are going to appeal Cosgrove's card. Hope it's rejected.

Agree Lawson was very good today & yeah they were very falloverable.

Delighted that Dykes got his hat trick tho cause he was getting sandwiched, held, pushed, tripped & otherwise assaulted throughout the game & got no protection from the officials.

Thought Pittman would've scored, looked back to his old self running through onto loose balls and getting into the box to get onto balls too, set it up on a tee for wee Lawless to score too, feck knows how he missed.

What was Marv doing running down the wing and crossing it onto Dykes napper for our 4th, think he's having the time of his life at Livi this season. Laughing

Absolutely delighted that Livi showed no pity against a poor County team.Sterling performances throughout the team and Dykes deserved his mom award although as others have said Lawson ran him close.Could have been more but not getting greedy.Back into the top six and a thoughrally enjoyable weekend Well done lads.Happy days indeed.

Can't see them winning the appeal, it will come down to interpretation again, it didn't actually catch Ajer by much, if even any, the big cheating haddy rolled over 3 times pretending to be injured (something Jullien likes doing too I've noticed), but the speed which Cosgrove comes in at, and the fact Ajer had to jump to get out of his way to stop from getting injured will be enough for them to stick with the ref on his red card. Oh and the fact it was a Celtic player will prob help too.

Watched our game on bbc alba a couple of times (fast forwarding to our goals) what a cracking goal Dykes 1st was, and wee Lawless playing a blinder too. I think Lawless is having the season of his life with us, hope to feck we get his contract extended in Jan.

I refer you to my brief description of it above. Furthermore, all 3 of his goals show categorically that we can play good football.
