Lost 3-2 to Winterthur, a Swiss team sitting 7th in the league. Both our keepers were ill and Winterthur gave us their 2nd choice keeper.
Tete continues to look good, and set up Guthrie for our first goal, well stuck away by Guthrie too. Guthrie won us a foul just outside their box, and Bradley converted the free kick, to go 2-1 up.
Their first goal was after the stand in keeper received treatment, and when play resumed he had dribbled the ball out and passed to Nottingham, who got dispossessed and it was a tap in with the keeper still off his line. 2nd was a simple through ball which we were caught out with, not having a back line positioned properly to play him offside, and slotted past the keeper. We really need to get that high line sorted, so everyone is up level watching for runners and playing them offside, far too easy getting in behind us. 3rd was a ball knocked into our box and headed back across goal, not great defending again.
Anyway, marked improvement from us in attack, with Tete making a difference, us scoring 2 goals, and a couple of other good chances we should've scored, so good seeing us scoring 2 goals and making chances for more.
Bad news is Tete rolled his ankle and had to be subbed off injured, hopefully just a bit of swelling and he'll be fine in a few days. He's going to be a massive player for us in our fight to stay up. He gets us up the pitch and makes things happen in attack.
