Re: Right then...the Rangers game
McBookie had us at 17's earlier in the week.
I don't think there are any words that would adequately convey how utterly fucking gratifying beating them at Ibrox would be. And they are more than honking enough for us to beat them.
2-1 Rangers, fgs 8 minutes. Never would I be happier to be wrong!

Not going well for us today, 1-0 down and Cowden 1-0 against QoS. At least Hearts are 2-0 up against Alloa.

Re: Right then...the Rangers game
QoS scored a late goal to salvage a point, not a total disaster then, both Alloa and Cowden are 5 points above us.
Posted too soon, Cowden score in ET to move 7 points above us, argh!!

Why are Rangers fans so obsessed with paedophiles? I swear that lot are a bunch of wean touching bastards. Absolute weirdos sitting to the left of the Livi support today (not the kids with the flags and that).

How will you honour that guarantee when we don't?
I think you mean "if" not "when"
As you can see my pessimism had more realism than your optimism/

My god Bertie, you must be the most positive person in all their land, eh? Fuck me gently. You want realism? Reality is, we're shite. You want more realism? Reality is also, Rangers are shite. Predicting us to win there is hardly a huge leap of faith.
Maybe we all just shouldnae bother, eh? I'll leave you to it, I'm away to tell the four year old next door that Santa isn't real. Hey, it's all about the realism!

Think 2-0 flattered Sevco yesterday, they are fucking dreadful. We could have got a draw or even a win from that if we could put our chances away. The 14 year olds either side of the away support were good for a laugh though.

The fat middle aged cunt with the union jack hat and the Rangers tracksuit to the left of us was a genius. The only words that seemed capable of coming out his mouth were 'sit down ya fuckin prick', 'fuckin bheast' and he was absolutely belting out 'God save the Queen' near full-time.
Should have been a blowjob that boy. Absolute life tragedy.

There was a kid who couldn't have been older than 10 standing in with the 'blue order', joined in with the abuse/sectarian singing with who I assume is his dad. Top parenting.

Re: Right then...the Rangers game
Sevco may be shite but they're 2nd in the league, which says a lot for the Championship. Fine lines in games but when you get to this stage of the season and are still losing games because we can't put our chances away it may have to just be we're not good enough to do so. Pretty much been our story this season that, gets fecking frustrating watching us miss chances then the other team nick the points because they stick theirs away.
Burchill will be manager of the bloody season if he can keep us up. I've said it numerous times, we need a goal scorer and unless we get one in and get the transfer embargo lifted I think we're knackered, we're not that much worse than the likes of QoS or Falkirk but we aren't scoring enough goals. Killer three games will be Cowden, Alloa and Dumbarton, if we don't get at least 6 points there we can forget it.

Re: Right then...the Rangers game
Yup fine margins and Sevco there for the taking yesterday, still fail to pick the easy pass in the final third and need to keep a cleansheet, when was the last time we did keep a clean sheet?
At Ibrox you would always expect that mob to score but when miscommunications happen and we score an own goal with the game so tight it certainly doesn't help!!

Re: Right then...the Rangers game
Good goal by Mensing, just wish he could score them in the right net. Him and Talbot would be in with a shout for the best og award...............if we did one.

Fat salary pissing himself laughing at Mensing's goal is a bit annoying. Or maybe he's just thinking about the big lump sum he's getting if they manage to sack him.

Re: Right then...the Rangers game
Obviously those highlights will be slightly biased but looking at them, we've had 3 brilliant chances to score there. Unless our ban is overturned I have no idea where our goals will be coming from, on paper the defence is relatively okay but if we're giving away silly goals like Mensing's OG, we're on a hiding to nothing.
The sad thing is that Rangers were genuinely there for the taking yesterday.

Jings, have you had a sense of humour by-pass? Get a grip, Bill Shankly was only kidding you know. Its a running joke that I look for the downside so that I'm never disappointed.
If Rangers are as bad as you suggest, then the rest of the league (apart from Hearts obviously) are truly abysmal cause they are trailing them by about the same number of points as they trail Hearts.
And shows how much you know...Santa may be dead but he was real enough when he was alive...don't think he had flying reindeer mind.

Have to agree with you re the own goal. Earlier on in the season I had a rant about our keeper and we nearly had meltdown on here, but in reality DJ has been gifting goals from the first day of the season and maybe Burchy will have the determination to get it sorted. Mensing was not to blame for that goal at all, even in the commentary it was mentioned that the keeper failed to communicate. At that stage we were still in the game and had played well. Don't lose stupid goals and we have a better chance of gaining points. Ask any successful manager where his priority is for a decent team that can compete. He will tell you sort the goalkeeper and defence first then you will have a chance to build for success.
Yes we had 2 good chances with White and Mullen and iI was more critical at the game than when I watched them on the highlights. They were both very good efforts and both on target and the keeper had to save them.Compare those efforts to the one from Nicky Law , that's what you call a sitter and unacceptable.
All in all a decent first game from the new managers team and what was noticeable was our pressing of the ball.
Thought the back four all played well. OBrien was our best player Mullen and White did well too .
