    Hi folks

I've recently taken on the role of chairperson at the Trust. One of the main things which I'm keen to do is to raise the profile of the Trust and make it more relevant for our members. It was touched upon at the AGM in March that for too long the Trust has been happy to work away in the background - volunteering on match days, filming the games etc - but that it didn't really seem to be doing much else.

The next Trust board meeting is on Thursday. If there is anything you think the Trust board should be considering at the meeting, I'd be grateful if you could post it in the thread below.

In addition, the Trust board are in the process of setting up a meeting with board of the club in early June - we are just awaiting the club confirming a date. The signing ban and ruling from the football authorities in relation to the share holdings in the club are on the agenda. If there is anything else which you would like added, please can you also post it below and we will raise it with the club.

    Thanks

The board need to communicate with the fans more. If you don't communicate with your customers, you risk losing them. Communication between club and fans is once again dreadful.

May as well quote what I posted on Lexi's question thread to kick this off with.

Read some confusion over seat allocations from our fans and that a few have lost their seats for various reasons, seems the lack of information on our OS over that isn't helping, along with absolutely no communication from the club to its fans.

Basically fans are expected to do all the running around finding out what is going on and just accept this debacle or have enough and not renew their ST. My main observation on the marketing (yeah I know, what marketing?) is that Sevco being in the Championship is enough of a draw to get fans down to our ground and the club has no other plan in place.

We're drifting along without a Captain at the helm here, about time this was sorted out and someone took command of the ship and got their act together.

The first thing to bring up to start off imo is communication with the fans, the Official Site is surely the clubs main vehicle for doing so along with their facebook page, so the whole seat malarkey should've been explained on there when they put up the announcement for the season ticket early bird scheme. Also the fans who were going to be offered another seat in place of their existing one being given to corporate/hospitality should have been contacted directly by letter/phone/e mail (have they even got an e mail, read many different eople saying they tried to contact the club by e mail but got no response).
Very poor from the club and could end up losing them fans that have been supporting the team/club for years, which they can ill afford to be doing.

I've a few suggestions for the club to try and attract fans, or just generally promoting the club to the community but with all that is going on i'll wait till someone is at the helm and pre season is underway, I think there is plenty for them to do just to get the team preparations started.

Communication with the fans and a bit of enthusiasm promoting the club and marketing ideas are sadly lacking, tbh they've been very poor since Leishman left and have got steadily worse every year.

The one that really, really winds me up is how poorly the website and social media is run. Livilive is a great function for games as is Livitv for highlights but tweets, facebook posts and OS posts are so sporadic and when they aren't, they often talk about things most of the fans couldn't care less about.

With the greatest respect, I couldn't give a toss about the supporters teams and their exploits seem more common than actual club news stories. How difficult would it be for someone to interview a player and type it up or at least make more of an active effort to tie in with the AffinityTV show?

Agreed. They get far far too much coverage.
