Hello Mark, welcome to supporting the Livi Lions, looking forward to the new season, see if we can maybe get a European place this time.

Hi liviforever
I look forward to getting to know the club as a whole.
It's an exciting time...forgetting pandemic of course.

We've been through the wars the last 25 years, a right rollercoaster of highs and lows, winning cup finals and leagues, then demotions, and admins, with penalty point deductions, fines and court cases, due to having bampot owners, so we're a battle hardened small band of supporters. One thing about supporting Livi though, it's never dull.
The last 4 seasons have been good times though, and the club has taken a turn for the better and being well run, so really enjoying the good times while they last.

Given your earlier comments I feel your pain for having to live in/near Grimsby, I understand it is well named.
I used to work with a Grimsby fan (he was Scottish but I can’t remember his reasons) back in my teenage years.
City have always been my favourite team from Manchester although Leeds (Champions!! ) are my favourite English team.
I fondly remember the Malcolm Allison era at City, at least the early stages. Was delighted with the Agueroooooooooooo championship win & have loved their football under Guardiola. Looking forward to seeing Leeds take on the likes of City & Liverpool & just hoping they are able to stay up & grow in strength to become challengers again

Welcome Mark
A point of fact - Elton John (or should that be Sir Elton John) has never written a song about Livingston

Oh oh Grimsby, a thousand delights
Couldn't match the sweet sights
Of my Grimsby
Oh England you're fair
But there's none to compare with my Grimsby

He wrote songs for The Lion King though...that’s close enough

It’s been a bit Hakuna Matata for us in recent seasons but hasn’t always been so, in other words we ought to Be Prepared for anything.

Re: Welcome to The Livi Room
Other than the half dozen or so who usually comment on all things Livi or other sporting things in general.I will attempt to encourage others to give of their own free will their respective views on all things current and past. This, with respect is getting repetitive and frankly nauseous.Forgive me.This is our site. But like our support I want to build and get more informative construction views.Or am I dreaming..

Re: Welcome to The Livi Room
The FB page is the most popular choice for our fans, personally prefer the Forum's format for posting topics and having discussions. P&B is also good for having other fans opinions, so ours doesn't become an echo chamber of biased opinions. Course you have to take the bad with the good, filtering out the trolls posting shite, but the friendlier banter between rival fans is part of football too..

Re: Welcome to The Livi Room
Yeah, I gave P & B a try but got bored with it quickly. The good old days of multiple posters here and previously in the Lion’s Den were always good for a laugh until the mad Italian came along and the fan base seemed to fracture into cliques in-fighting over nothing in particular and get all huffy over even less. What was banter suddenly incited mock-rage as people decided that they wanted to be offended by anything and everything, or worse became offended on behalf of others who weren’t actually offended themselves and became offended by their lack of being offended.
Which was why I was wondering what offended Troy sufficiently to make him say it was “getting repetitive and frankly nauseous”…

Re: Welcome to The Livi Room
I'm certainly not offended Nick. Was just my opinion that it would be refreshing to have some new blood on here.Maybe repetitive and nauseous were the wrong choice of words.Think I was getting a kickback from all the nonsense on P&B r

Sorry my phones playing up.But you get my drift.I was ending on all the shite about court cases etc etc.And the way a few kept going over the same again and again. Was brain melting at times.Present company excluded of course.

Aye football's meant to be an outlet to get away from all your troubles and strife (not cockney rhyming slang).
