Players out on Loan

Was a bit mystified to read this from Callum Carson:

Livi youngsters Cammy Fraser, Darren Smith and Gabi Auriemma have signed on loan for Broxburn. Kieran Sommerville on loan at Newtongrange.

Presumably as a method of keeping match fitness - but it seemed a bit odd seeing as how we're a bit stretched at the moment.

Also unlikely these sides will be paying their wages.

Thought this as well. Wouldn't imagine there would be much benefit from this... better off at a league 2 side or whatever.

Suppose it means we'd be able to recall them at short notice if needed..

Will toughen them up, maybe able to get some more money from Junior teams than league 2 too.

I'd tend to agree with what Smithy says, without knowing Broxburn very well.

That still leaves us with a realistic squad of 20 not including Burchill and the youth goalie which should be more than enough, if the players can be recalled.
