Fair prices for Stranraer game

With the Stranraer home game becoming increasingly closer, me and a group of lads have decided to email the club and tweet asking for fair pricing next Saturday to help attract more people into the stadium. 

I've emailed lfcreception@livingstonfc.co.uk and tweeted #playoffs4less in the hope the club will finally listen to the fans and help us out

Get an email and a tweet directed to Livingston and let's pull together over the next week or 2!

Prices confirmed as £10/£5.

Happy with that, fair prices and hopefully a decent result on Wednesday and a good effort to get people down will see a decent sized crowd in.

Yep, well done Livi FC, Stranraer are charging £13 and £7, we're charging £10 and £5 for the return. U12's free as well.

I know it's an SPFL rule but season ticket holders shouldn't have to pay for what is basically an extension to the league season. In an ideal world, the club would've went out of their way to make it up to fans only seeing us win three times this season. They have only made it up in some sense with the sensible pricing but there will still only be less than 1,000 at the game.

Aye, well sadly for them that are never pleased we don't live in an ideal world.

Don't the club have to pay a substantial percentage of the gate money to the visiting team and the league - also aren't season ticket holders assumed to be pay at the gate as happens for cup games - one of the reasons cup games are now usually excluded from season ticket deals?

I can see why Stranraer left their usual price for play off games and didn't reduce it, they're playing for promotion, but kudos to Livi for reducing ours. We're playing to stay up rather than the other way around but still a good price as they have overheads and are hardly in the financial position to take a hit to subsidise free entry. I think it's a fair price.

Don't think so D, the tv games are split between the SPFL and all the teams in the league but don't think the gate money is. I think our (hopefully) final 2 games are on BBC Alba.

Think the SPFL use the tv money from all the televised games to pay the parachute payment to the Premiership teams and to use for the increased prize money to Championship teams.

Cut and dried unless the rule's changed. They have to pay for those expensive "business" lunches and fact finding trips to Bermuda somehow don't you know.

I think it is fair to say they'd prosecute Livi if we gave ST holders free entry, prob hit us with a points deduction and straight relegation for good measure.

I'll go because last weekend was pap with it being 12.30pm on a Sunday and a meaningless B team game. At least i'll have my end of season game played on a Saturday at 3pm and have a few drinks pre game in the AS.
Think i'll need the pre match liquid refreshments to get me through the game as I've a feeling we'll lose the return one too.
