Confident of a win here. We've built a decent squad over the summer which should have more than enough to go through by a couple of goals, if we don't have a disaster. Moving out this week so unsure if I'll make this one but I hope I can.

Hope McGlynn gives some of the guys who came on and did well against Queen of the South a bit of game time but I wouldn't blame him for keeping the same 11 who started. I think it's important we rotate the players before the Hibs game and know what our best 11 is, particularly in the attacking areas.

I'm sure it was posted somewhere that Talbot was suspended for this game.

Yep, sent off against Motherwell in the League Cup last season so he'll be out for this one.

Total psycho challenge when the game was dead, if I remember right. Glad Rutherford is getting more game-time.

Think it was up at their end of the pitch too so it's not like they would have scored if he never done it.

Right enough, forgot it was this comp he was red carded. We were on the front foot at the time and looked likely to score, turned the game in Motherwell's favour.

That said, I think we scored in stoppage time. Just meant Motherwell could relax a bit after he was sent off.

Keaghan could be fit for this game, according to the Record. No new injury worries pleasingly.

EEN, however, says that Paul Grant is in line for his debut...

He played against Musselburgh so I don't think McGlynn would take the risk plus we don't have that many injuries in the squad to rush him back.

I'm sure they're saying that about Grant just to fill up the article...I hope.

Looking forward to first game of season for me, will be interesting to see the new players in action.
As others have said should be a win for us however we all know Cup games! Going for a 3-1 win hopefully. Two big games to follow which should show us how we perform against stronger? competition

Extra-time again. Hopefully they'll tire quickly due to last week. I think Ogleby going off killed our momentum. Mullen might have moved up top with White and Robertson in the midfield.
