We have signed a keeper from the juniors as back up to DJ who couldn't keep his place last season & was a shadow of the keeper we saw the season before.

If England's national team lacked leadership; tactics & talent then we are a million times worse at best.

With the current squad & management...we'll do well to finish 8th - hopefully we'll be sorting out our season tickets this week.

Hoppy has come into his own recently with good use of subs and the team finishing games strongly.

Mid term report, doing better than expected but mustn't rest on their laurels

That's a bit of an understatement Bertie. lol!

I bet I'm enjoying this season more than you.... I'm getting much more than I expected santa jocolor

I hope so, but I had no real expectation of us winning this league, I just hoped we'd do well and a few of our players would be stand outs. I had no clue what our defence would be like or how well Hopkin would do, so this has been an unexpected surprise for me too, really didn't think we'd be doing so well.

Long way to go yet and every team usually hits a wee sticky patch so hopefully we keep it going a bit longer and give ourselves a huge lead before we hit ours.

    Amen to that LF....

Here's hoping we get the festive season off to a cracker & make QP feel like the turkey that voted for Christmas.

Here we are about to play QP again.... I can safely say my expectations for the season have been exceeded - I have thoroughly enjoyed this season, there have been some blips, the home defeats to perceived division "minnows" (Peterhead, Albion, East Fife & Queens Park) and the 0-0 at home to Stranraer were all disappointing, especially in the games where we held the lead, but these were just minor hiccups in a season where we have on the whole been very entertaining to watch.

Hopefully, today we will finally wipe the floor with QP.

Mullen might just amaze us and step up to the plate now we've dropped a league too, and maybe young Knox will benefit from being up against players at this level, same with Currie.

Will have to wait and see how the defence gets on in the pre season games and the cup ones before I get overly optimistic though, and still not confident about Hopkin remaining in charge.

Still, canny wait for the season to start and also quite looking forward to our first pre season game on Sat.

Well i wasn't disappointed by any of those players, Buchanan the top goal scorer in the League, SPFL, and broken Livi's goals in a season record, Pittman has again been outstanding in midfield, Halkett has been a rock in defence, esp since moving to CB, and Mullen has finally stepped up his game and shown us he's the player we thought he could be. Longridge has had a bit of a stop start season with Hopkin changing formation in defence so often but has still done pretty well too.

Byrne and Miller have also been outstanding signings, and Mullin & Cadden, like Longridge have been used off and on but on the whole did really well in a lot of the games they've played in when they got their chance.

Crighton and Lithgow have even given us some great moments, Lithgow nutmegging an Airdrie player bringing the ball out of defence and Crighton's volley from outside the box against Airdrie too.

Biggest surprise to me though was Hopkin, made a few strange substituttions and starting line ups (last week esp) lol! , but he's improved and learnt from mistakes and I actually think he's benifitted from dropping down a league too. Looking forward to next season now and seeing how he does back in the Championship.

Yeah, you made some pretty decent assessments on those guys in advance, no wonder you are skooshing the prediction league lol!

Hoppy has held it together pretty well, still find some of his decisions baffling but on the whole it has paid off & I think you're right, he has benefitted from dropping down, as have some of the players who have shown they are too good for this level & gained confidence from that.

Next season will obviously be much harder but we are hopefully heading in the right direction once again.
