Players I'd like to see us keep.

McCallum, Pittman, Fozzy, Longridge, Mullen, white and Neil. DJ would be good to keep progressing.

The rest I hope just leave, whether they are in contract or not.

Would be keen to keep the youngsters that are currently out on loan, especially Auriemma.

Bit of an obvious statement, but it all depends what league we're in. Regardless of league, I think there are certain players which have to go in any circumstance - namely Georgiev and Cole. I'd be quite happy to retain all who are signed up for next season, although if we're in the Championship I think we'll need someone better than Sheerin because my gut feeling is that he isn't good enough for the second tier. If we go down to League 1, I'd be more than happy to give him a chance. Same goes for the 'keepers - if it's Championship, I think it has to be McCallum, but if it's League 1 then budget wise there should only be one 'keeper of that quality, and I'd give DJ another chance in that case.

Would try and re-sign Gordon, Sives, Currie, Fotheringham, Gibbons and White irregardless of league out of those out of contract. I suspect if it's League 1 only Currie and Gibbons will stay, can see Raith taking a punt on Shagz if they don't go up and I doubt the rest will want to be in League 1.

In any case, we need a new management team, because right now I don't fancy our chances either way with Hopkin and Martindale calling the shots.

Can see Morton having a pop at White signing too, the way they play with wingers he'd score a lot more goals too. Don't think Raith style of play is any better than ours but that wouldn't matter if we went down, Championship over League One would hold more sway. White would get 30 odd goals in League One though.

St Mirren might be interested in him too, or Buchanan.

Not sure about Sheerin, would've liked to have seen him getting a few games with White earlier in the season to see how he got on, he's never really been given a chance. Gives us something different from the bench though, a more physical presence. He's missed a few sitters but again hasn't had a run of games to get consistency going and improve on his game in front of goal.

Maybe Hopkin was secretly preparing his squad for next season putting all these players out on loan to League One teams, getting them acclimatized. #cunningplan Suspect

Is that this Craig Reid, the Dunfermline Defender who is in court accused of assault in August?

Hopefully we can get White signed up. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he wants to leave though, constantly played out of position and probably too good for League 1.

If Hopkin and/or Martindale are still in charge I doubt White will stay. Would imagine there will be a few teams in the Championship looking at him, Raith and Morton spring to mind. He'd score 25+ goals in League One for us though so has to be a priority signing.

Players i'd like to retain for next season are; McCallum/DJ, Sives, Gordon, Halkett, Longridge, Pittman, Mullin, White, Sheerin, Currie.

Mullen if he knuckles down and gets his head straight, Knox will maybe be kept but we prob need whatever money he'd bring in from whoever will pay the most for him. Gibbons looks like moving on or i'd have kept him too, Buchanan would no doubt score for fun in League One but tbh I think we need to go with White as our lead striker and I feel he's not going to be at his best with Buchanan still being here, has to be one or the other imo.

I felt Mullen has had his chance and would get rid but, as far as I can recall, didn't he sign a two year contract last summer so should be around pee'ing everybody off for at least another year.

Very few players I'd like to see kept for next season (and that's if we can even keep them in League 1)

DJ/ McCallum, Halkett, Longridge, Gordon, Fozzy, Pittman, Knox, Currie, White & Buchanan.

    Everyone else can do one.

Don't think Sheerin has had a fair go, esp under Hopkin. I thought he looked quite good with White earlier in the season. Think he'd do well in League One too.

As for Mullen, maybe a loan spell for a few months and see if that gets him sorted, like we did with Snoddy, made all the difference when he came back to Livi.

If we go down then I would like to think that the bulk of the squad would be good enough to at least challenge for promotion back up... Whether we could afford to keep them is another matter. If we stay up, we would need to strengthen immensely to have any hope of avoiding the drop next season

Would like to see White (especially), Fotheringham, Halkett, Pittman, Knox, Currie, DJ, Mullin and Longridge to stay. Obviously Watt has been signed on a PCA and will be arriving over the summer.

Surely, we are moving forward with a FT/PT hybrid system. No way that we have enough income to support FT for the next year.

Cant see DJ staying if he gets an offer from anywhere else and who would blame him.
I think Whyte may be picked up by another Championship team tho I would like him to stay.
There are better goalies out there than McCallum.
I think Halkett, Pittman and Buchanan are signed up already for next season and maybe some of the younger guys.
I think Sheerin would be good against the physical teams in Division 1
Fotheringham is unfit and past it. He is a journeyman footballer who flatters to deceive and thinks he is better than he is.
Cole is a liability. Nuff said.
I'm not sure what contract Longridge has but I would keep him likewise Ben Gordon.
I can't think of who else. I may have left some out.

There's a board meeting on Monday, would imagine that will be to discuss Hopkin's future, whether we'll punt him, keep him as a coach and bring in a proper manager, or keep him as manager.

More likely the latter, and it'll be to talk about his budget/plans for next season and hopefully we hear about contract extensions (Jordan White pls) soon enough.

Of the players out of contract:
    Keep
    Marc McCallum
    Ben Gordon
    Craig Sives
    Ryan Currie
    Mark Fotheringham
    Jordan White

    Punt
    Darren Cole
    Gary Glen

    Unsure
    Conor Quinn
    Matthew Gould
    Gabriel Auriemma
    Cammy Fraser
    Kieran Gibbons
    Darren Smith

Most of the team we have right now would certainly challenge for the title and probably win the league White and Buchanan had over ten goals each then season and that's at the bottom of the league. with momentum each week and more attacking in games they could possibly add plenty more goals. so wouldn't mind keeping most of that team.

The team we have just now will do absolutely fine in league 1, it's the management that needs changed.

Hopkin did better than Burchill but neither one of them was good enough. Both played players out of position and employed bewildering tactics. Though I think we'd have struggled with any manager at the start of the season due to the signing embargo only being lifted a few week before the season started. It wasn't an ideal pre season. Burchill wasn't improving any by the time we got to December though, the Alloa and Dumbarton games were the final nails in his managerial coffin.

Burchill got 12 points, Hopkin got 19 points, neither of them were going to have us comfortably mid table. Sticking with Hopkin and his tactics is going to have us mid table in League One, or worse, really wouldn't be an appointment from a Board with any aspirations of getting back to the Championship.

If Hopkin or Martindale are announced as our manager for next season then I think i'll have to dig out my Roaring Back scarf, we'll be heading back to the 4th tier of the SPFL.
