We really can't afford a slip up against Stranraer with Airdrie at home to Stenny, we have to get a win to stay top then gub Stenny on Tues to take advantage of our game in hand.

Stranraer v Livi
Hopefully Mullen is back playing for this one, reckon we'd rattle in a few goals with both him and Buchanan up front against this mob.

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Agreed. Stranraer will want to hurt us after the pasting we gave them up here.
I fancy they will inflict our first draw of the season on us.
1-1 with the fg in the 39th minute

Bit of a worry you're not putting us down for a defeat, you're tempting fate being so optimistic Bertie.

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Doesn't look like Mullen will be playing with reports of him having a cast on his wrist now, so will keep my prediction a bit lower than I would have done if he'd been available. Think we'll score first and not have to take risks at the back so going for another clean sheet and us to go on to comfortably win 3-0, fg 14 mins.
I read on twitter that was the first time in Cadden's career he'd scored a goal 2 games running, can he make it 3 goals in 3 games, mon Nicky Cadden you can do it.

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Another one of these should win games. For me its points that matter and not goals at this stage of the season but of course we would all like to see a barrowload going past this mob.Same as last week for me a narrow win and back up the road with Airdrie still behind us albeit they have a shoein tommorow.Keep it going Livi and the gap will appear hopefully.Do it!!!

Third game on the trot I'll have missed due to work and exams. Sounded like we grinded it out last week, and I doubt Stranraer will be as bad as they were during the opening game of the season...

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Either we rate a team that is sitting 3rd bottom of the table highly or we've not got that much faith in Livi to score more than 1 goal past them. I seem to be the only one on here confident we'll beat them by more than one goal. Dunno if that says i'm optimistic/deluded/arrogant, or you lot are awfy pessimistic.
I don't think they're a team that sits in and their pitch is reported to be in decent nick so see no reason to think we wont put a few goals past them. Even without Mullen playing we've players all over the pitch that can score goals and Buchanan is still in good form. I've a good feeling about this game, I think it could be quite a high scoring one.

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Recent results suggest our prolific scoring has dried up a bit, earlier we were scoring 3 or 4 every week, since TNS beat us we haven't scored more than 2 in a game and last week it took a late penalty which by all accounts was an early Christmas present from the ref; last time we played the 3rd bottom side we lost. So why are you so optimistic?
If we play to our potential and take our chances then we will win but if not it will be a struggle... We can't afford to be slack at the back... Surely we are going to be held to a draw eventually?

Re: Stranraer v Livi
We've lost to teams that sit in and hit us in the counter attack, Stranraer didn't play like that and as they're at home I don't think they're likely to change tactics in this game and sit in. So we shouldn't have any problems creating chances against them, and i'm confident we'll stick at least 3 of them away.
We all knew Rovers would park the bus and make it difficult for us to score against them, that's how they play, Stranraer don't play like that. We also scored 2 goals against an in form Airdrie side so I don't think our goals have dried up. I don't rate Stranraer anywhere near as good as either Rovers or Airdrie, i'd be a tad pissed off if we dropped points to them. If we are going to draw i'd hope it would be against a team like Airdrie in a 4 goal thriller, or a stubborn team like Rovers, not a team we've previously horsed 5-1.

5 minutes gone.... Stranraer 1 Livi 0
Long way to go before anything is certain but this is NOT the start you were expecting LF

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Airdrie getting beat 2-0 by Stenny too, shocks all around.
I've still faith in our 2nd half performance picking up 3 points but right now your draw prediction looks an ok result if Stenny beats Airdrie.
Stenny up 3-0 now, holly feck.
Boateng sent off as well, looks like Airdrie have had it, would be great if we could turn this around in the 2nd half and win the 3 points, maybe needing Carrick to come on a bit sooner than he did against Rovers.

Re: Stranraer v Livi
Come on Stenhousemuir!!!
Hopefully our recent knack of doing better in the second half will get us back into it and with the situation at Airdrie, I'd be happy with a draw (of course I would, I predicted 1-1 lol)

Re: Stranraer v Livi
I think that's our first shot on goal, Liam Watt shooting down the centre from outside the box. On a positive, at least we're now getting a shot off at them.

Stenny up 5-0 now, a boy on P&B predicted Airdrie would win 6-0 tae, he's getting pelters.
Mon Livi get a goal and at least pick up a point here.

Full time - fantastic set of results for us today and good to see alternative goal scorers stepping up to secure the points
