Livi v QP Empty Livi v QP

Big game for them, for us, not so much.

They're the only team we've never beaten, so how funny would it be if we beat them with a team full of fringe players and youngsters like Knox, Ogilvie and Sampson. Would be some feat if we kept another clean sheet with a back 3 of Todorov, Lithgow and Longridge too, but i'd rather Hoppy played Halkett and Gallagher in defence.

On the unpredictable starting 11 and us being 2 defeats and a draw when we were playing QP when we still needed points, i'm going to go against my usual optimistic prediction,QP wi..............................................ll lose, nope couldn't do it. 2-1 Livi fg 28 mins.

Don't mind Hoppy giving Sinclair, Millar, Keaghan and Knox starts as we've still got good enough quality there, but i'd rather see a young defender from our Development squad getting a game, at least the experience of playing in the 1st team would be useful for him..

I would like to see us right the wrongs of dropping 7 points to this shower. I want a full on assault with the strongest line up we have to rack up a 5-0 first half lead, grab another couple for 7-0 and then put on 3 youngsters.... But realistically I think it will be a similar line up to Saturday.

Going by the Stenny post match interview it sounds like Hoppy is keeping all the players that are on the brink of a suspension for the Peterhead game, so they play in the game we're going to be presented with the cup. Must mean Mullen is one booking away from a suspension too but if Dec is back in after his bereavement them Todorov could start up front with Buchanan and at least we'd have a decent chance of goals still.
Our midfield is strong no matter who plays, Byrne is an important player but Pittman will be playing and if Keaghan starts again we'd have 2 terriers in midfield still.

the question is do bookings against QP rule them out or was it bookings against Stenhousemuir that would have done that?

Seems to me that he's done his homework on suspensions & he deserves praise for that to ensure the guys who have played the most are available for the trophy presentation.

QP have been a tough nut for us to crack so far this season; now that they're third, and their fate is in their own hands, I can see them really being up for this. I'm hopeful we won't see the same defence as last week, but I still don't imagine it'll be our strongest XI.

    1-1, FG 37 mins.

Actually looking forward to this game if only for the fact we can relax and hopefully watch a decent game of football.Queens have had a very good season by their standards and will be trying their hardest to get that playoff spot among a few others.Of course id love to do them as they have been the preverbial thorn in our side this season but tend to agree with Afro on this one.Think a share of the spoils may have to suffice here but hopefully an entertaining game nevertheless.Championees!!!

The onus is on them to get something from this game, they need a win and it is a nothing game for us, so how funny would it be if we set out to frustrate them and hit them with a sucker goal to win the game. Would be fecking sweet, doing to them what they've done to us in earlier games. lol!

Well I must say I enjoyed that but it speaks volumes when you win 4-0 & still feel robbed by refereeing decisions.

I thought Pittman was excellent again, Mullen had a good game too along with Cadden, Mullin, Halkett & Crighton. Credit also to Maley for a couple of really good saves. Jacobs again showed some fine touches but is still clearly a wee bit ring rusty. Todorov still looks a bit clumsy up front but did well for his goal to get the ball before the keeper. Longridge & Knox were average in the first half but got better & better as the game progressed. Sensible substitution taking Crighton off after his booking and Gallagher was excellent when he came on. Buchanan & Ogilvie both contributed to the entertainment as well.

Excellent team work for Mullin's goal; good predatory poaching from Todorov for the opener, excellent awareness from Mullen & superb execution for his goal, fine finish from Cadden for the fourth following fabulous, flowing freestyle passing; excellent stuff.

Hopefully we turn on the style again next week for the trophy presentation

Worst ref I've ever seen, hope to hell we never get him again.

Despite that clown's performance I had a lovely birthday treat seeing us comfortably gub the only team in the league we hadn't won against. Bring on Peterheid for us to get 8 wins in a row. cheers

Decent game yesterday i thought with Pitman showing onceagain the justification his inclusion as one of the favourites to lift this year POTY.Thought that QP were a bit over physical at times but thankfully our quality shone through in the end.Deserved victory that actually ended up being more comfortable than i thought it would be before the game.Good bit of banter from the Queens fans as well added to an enjoyable afternoon at the Vale once again.Looks like its gonna be a stroll towards the end of the season and im looking forward to both games still to come with relative ease.Well done Livi, you deserve that trophy next week and il be there to applaud your efforts.

Midfield general, you just know when Pittman gets the ball it is in safe feet, he's a calm influence on the park.

So is big Dec, just strolled into the box and laid the ball off to Josh Mullin for our 3rd goal. Looks like he's been smoking on some weed pre match he's so laid back, makes everything look effortless.

Spoke to Declan briefly as he was going to his car after the game,Asked if he would be with us next season and he said he is waiting like a few others to see if he is going to be offered a contract. He will of course probably be in demand but i got the feeling he is enjoying his time here and has a lot of freinds at the club.Hope he gets that offer.Over to you Livi.

Would say Halkett and Gallagher would be 2 of the best CB's in the Championship next season if they played together. I'd love Todorov to sign up for us next season too, he gives us a force up front for the long ball, as he showed for our first goal. Need to get Buchanan signed too. Dec and Liam would be my two priority signings.

Once again the Amber Machine putting shame to the other nine teams in this league by strolling through a game where they had nothing to play for. The sooner this season is over, the better.

Also, I've got a feeling Josh Mullin will be a stand-out next season.
