Really bad news in my opinion. The possible bumper home gate moved to a Friday night so that it can be covered by Alba - this could maybe discourage 1000 united fans from travelling. In addition we get pretty much hee haw television money from Alba.

Mentioned this on the "Match Day" section, cause it's about a match day funnily enough...
Not keen on Friday night games...would rather it was a 1pm ko on the Saturday if they want to avoid clashing with the Saturday games... Or 5:30pm ko

Re: Rearranged Dundee United game
The financial impact will be significant. Last time United brought about 1400 down to watch them when the team were playing poorly. Even if a fairly conservative 1000 decide not to experience west Lothian on a cold wet Friday night that could be £18,000 hit.
Hopefully we will have an agreement with our advertisers for increased revenue in the event that a game is televised but I doubt it will make up the gap.
Its like the Hibs debacle all over again.

Re: Rearranged Dundee United game
Not the greatest of decisions, given United would probably bring the most fans in the division save for the Maureens and Falkirk if they weren't doing totally shite. Even moving the game to 5.30 on a Saturday would've alleviated some of the hit, but a game between a team from West Lothian and Tayside on a Friday night is complete nonsense IMO. Nobody watches BBC Alba anyway, so what's the point? Classic example of the governing bodies taking any money for TV rights and not holding out for a good deal.

Re: Rearranged Dundee United game
Yeah nobody watches alba and nobody watches lower league football on telly in Scotland, match made in heaven.
I used to enjoy football 1st on a Sunday morning though, but the bbc stopped showing it the season we were relegated from the Premier league. All they care about is Celtic v Sevco games really.
