Livi v Falkirk

Fed up having to open threads with a weather report but here we go again, the temp is forecast to drop to the minus Sat morning and only rise to zero by the afternoon so this game is in danger of being postponed. If we had decent covers, and actually put them down then we'd prob be fine as the temp is only to drop to -1, but we don't, so it'll be touch and go.

If by luck we get this on then hopefully our players will be a bit sharper and we get a win. Not sure what to expect but i'll go for a 2-1 Livi win, fg 40mins.

Falkirk are going to want to nab the points so this could be tricky.

I'd love to see us give them a good pasting but fear another war of attrition.

Yep.Must admit i share your concerns about the conditions tommorow if indeed this gets the go ahead to take place Orco.Although my BBC weather APPtells me that we have to have very little in the way of rain for the Livingston area tommorow but as you said its gonna be very blustery and could make a mockery of the game as a spectacle.Should the game go ahead i feel we are good enough to put these Bairns in their rightfull place and personnally il be glad to see the back of them afer so many meetings this season.In any case i await the cautionery pitch inspection which will no doubt be called for although theyl probably take as long as possible what with Grangemouth only being half an hour away.Fingers crossed anyways

Maybe we should donate our old duvets to the club to wrap in tarpaulin and lay on the wee frozen corner when the forecast is bad.

Chuck some straw down over it and then put our covers on top.

Ground seems quite firm out there; really touch and go but knowing the problems with that corner I'm not confident.

On the off-chance that it is on I'm going for 2 - 1 livi win with first goal on 48th minute.

No indications of any pitch inspection as far as I can see.

As its a local side I wouldn't expect this to be made until noon - however the club would presumably want to notify staff and suppliers as soon as possible.

Not getting my hopes up, twice I've been sitting in the AS and was notified the game was off around 1 PM.

Point I'm making though is there is no hint on the OCS or the Twitter feed that there is any planned inspection which suggests the pitch is good to go.

All in all it was a decent game so credit to both teams. I thought we probably looked the better side & could have won it with a bit more composure and/or luck in front of goal. That said, I thought they were going to steal it when they broke away at the end.

Great performance from Keaghan especially when you consider has hardly played at all recently.

Been home for 50 minutes now & just starting to warm up.

Yep we looked the more likelier to score today, but it wasn't to be. The bitter cold weather prob contributed to our final ball being a bit off and snatching at shots in front of goal. I think leaving Miller out was a mistake too, Boyd is too small for how we play and you immediately saw a difference when Miller came on and how he linked up with Hardie getting flick ons from high balls.

Hardie will miss our next game due to international call up, so that was prob why Hoppy went with Boyd, but maybe we should have started with Miller and got a goal then brought Boyd on, all done and dusted now though and the point is a decent result against one of the in form teams. Falkirk will take points from Utd too I think.

Results wth the teams below us went our way too so no damage done, Utd, Dunfermline and Morton all drew, and QoS lost to St Mirren. That more or less puts St Mirren out of reach so 2nd place is what we're playing for and it looks like a 2 horse race between us and Utd for it.

Infinitely better than Tuesday night's performance, but slightly concerning that we didn't sword them today, even with the chances we had in the second half in particular. Don't think Boyd done himself any favours today, didn't look at it at all and the difference was immediately clear when Miller came on. Was very much impressed with Keaghan's performance today though, was everywhere on the pitch and made life hell for the Falkirk midfield. Definitely made a case to be one of the starting three in central midfield from now on, been looking for a showing like that from him for a while now.

Fairly indicative of the season we're having that I'm disappointed to only take a point from Falkirk at home. The good news I suppose is that all the sides below us dropped points, so wasn't a disaster of a day. If we can get through the next three games unbeaten then I think we'll have made the play-offs, which would be an incredible achievement. A big ask though against some very good teams for this level.

Mon Afro, get yourself some belief, we're on an unbeaten run of 9 games now and looking good for 2nd place, QoS have Utd on Tues then us on Sat, and looks like Dobbie is out injured still, so even without Hardie we should beat them, they're really dependent on him for their goals. Dumbarton aren't the team they used to be in seasons past, and Dunfermline are nothing special. No reason we can't get at least 7 points from those games.

It is certainly an easier run of games than the ones we've just had.

Cant remember the last time ive wanted a referee to blow a final whistle so quickly.Absolutely hyperthermic yesterday and took me ages to get some feeling back in my legs.Even saw some people leaving well before the end as it was so bloody cold.Couldnt blame them.The game itself was a bit of a blur and was hard to concetrate on with it being so baltic.Mller should have been brought on earlier to help Hardie as it wasnt working with Boyd imo but kudos to them for trying in such testing conditions.Yeh Keaghan had a tremendous shift and was good to see old glimpses if himself after so long out.All in all no damage done yesterday and we move on.We,re in the home stretch now and hopefully we can keep this going for as long as possible.Well done to Hoppy and the lads.

We played a bit better than Tues night so we're heading in the right direction, might even have nicked it if Miller had been brought on earlier. The cold tightening up the players muscles wouldn't have helped either though, Pitts had a few decent chances but snatched at them, and even Hardie looked less like his usual self shooting, just glad to get this game out of the way and see no damage done league position wise.

We've a run of away games now so the pressure is off for us to get games on, hopefully the snow clears away midweek and QoS get the next game on.

My mistake - could've sworn we had Morton instead of Dumbarton! Point still stands - three decent Championship sides, including Dumbarton who could be coming into the game having won the Challenge Cup. An easier run of games compared to what we've had, no doubt - doesn't mean the games won't be a test. As I said, I think 7 points from the next three would see us in the top four, so bring it on.
