Livi v Falkirk
First game following the cup final against a good Falkirk team. If we play anything like we did last time against them then we'll get beaten easily. Burchill has tough calls to make as the starting eleven played really well as did Glen and White but he needs to be ruthless. Just because we've won 4-0 against Alloa doesn't mean an automatic start for the next game.

Burchill has a selection headache for this game, stick with the same team or give White a start after scoring 2 goals in the final. Didn't think White would be an impact player but you can't make much more of an impact than that.
Can't see anything other than sticking with the same defence though, would keep Cole in as a CB and O'Brien as a midfielder playing further up the pitch again.
I'd plump for;
........................ DJ
Dycey........Gallagher......Cole.......Talbot
Kyle.......Pittman........O'Brien......Keaghan
....................White..........Hippo
and have Ibra/Mullen and Boulding on in the last 20 mins or so.
Shouldn't get carried away after winning the final 4-0 as we've won other games scoring 4 and 5 goals then failed to keep it going but feck it, 2-1 Livi, FG 18 mins. Mon the Amber Machine.

Oops didn't see this when I started a Livi v Falkirk thread.
Would start White for Mullen and have everyone else starting in the same positions they did against Alloa.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
I thought Glen and White were very good when they came on. I watched the recording on Alba and watched the interview with Hippo and he said he was very very tired.
So maybe I would start Glen and White instead of Hippo and Mullen who looked lost playing up top on his own.
Hippo deserves another start but maybe he just took too much out of himself yesterday but he is still a great player to make an impact when coming on.
However maybe would go with LF choice and make one change , white for Mullen.
Cmon the Livi

Re: Livi v Falkirk
I wanna win this prediction league, and like Bertie my head is telling me 1-0 Falkirk, so there you have it. If we play like we did on Sunday then I think we can get a result, but Falkirk are a good side with plenty to play for themselves, and there's something telling me the players raise their game for certain occasions - Falkirk at home in the league not being one of them.
Some of the players as well as Burchill saying they're looking for a loud support like Sunday when we lifted the roof at times, but it works both ways. If they come out and piss about straight away they'll bore the fans to tears and it'll be the same as every week. Looking for high intensity, quick playing down the wings and getting physical in the midfield, need to pack the middle of the park in really tight. I'd start Hips out wide, and FFS give White a start and don't bomb down the middle over his head.
All dependent on which Livi side turns up, it's been an awful league season so I'm staying pessimistic. Hope I'm wrong. This is a massive game, btw. I'll be fucking dancing all the way up home on the Alderstone Road if we win.

Don't see us picking up 3 points from this unfortunately. A point at best.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
Falkirk are a good side but not unbeatable. If we carry on the support where we left off on Sunday and lets see what happens.
Lot happier with Cole and Gallagher at the back. Main concern is still going to be Fordyce at right back; last time we met at Falkirk he kept getting caught out of position requiring Gallagher to come and help out which left a hole in central defence.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
Think the cup win will give us a bit of confidence, but Falkirk are still better than us and our players will most likely still be tired.
Agree with what others have said and would only change Mullen for White. I had high hopes for Mullen but all I see him do is fall over and moan at the ref instead of getting on with it.
1-1, FG 23 mins.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
The one time Mullen showed strength on the ball and came away with it the useless ref gave a foul against him. He's needing to do that more often, as he's always the one that lands on his arse getting knocked off the ball.
He has skills as he's scored a couple of cracking goals where he turned players inside out dribbling past them, just think he needs a bit of coaching on dealing with shoulder to shoulder barges and nudges that put you off balance as the ball is coming. Snoddy used to be the same, can remember him always being on his arse complaining to the ref wanting a foul too funnily enough.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
That was class, reminded me of the Gary Bollan days. Fantastic performance, chased down every ball, held it up well, played with a high tempo and gave 100%. Falkirk couldn't live with our ferocity and were completely out-classed, get it up them the bitter bastards. Good atmosphere tonight, place had a buzz about it after the cup win and it showed on the pitch. Really happy tonight, first home win since September and looking forward to Saturday. Always said I'd never go to Cowdenbeath, but fuck it, big game and we've played well in the last few days. Hopefully a big, noisy support on Saturday.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
Excellent win and so glad we beat them after the behaviour of their bench. Houston's behaviour was probably worse than anything Presley did, and what was the goalkeeping coach on flashing the v's to the fans at the end, showed your maturity there mate, what a tube.
Yet another inept display from a referee, when did it become a yellow card offence to allow the opposing player to lift their hands to you and push you over. We had two players yellow carded for it tonight, yet the Falkirk defender hit Pittman in the back of the neck with a forearm smash and Mullen was constantly, blatantly, pushed over.
Really hope they are not giving us false hope and we can turn in another performance like that on Saturday

Fair play to the boys for pulling it out for an important league game for a change.
It will count for nothing if we don't win on Saturday though.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
I was right behind their GK coach and I think I shouted 'fuck off and die' at him and Houston at least 10 times tonight. What a pair of absolute fucking nonces. Their GK coach even turned round to the Livi fans and started shouting 'that's a pub team!' when DJ threw the ball out - the behavior of the Falkirk bench was worse than that of a pub team.
Fucking get it up the cunts.

Fucking YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Get in.
So glad Burchill stuck with the same team as Sunday and wee Danny starting, brilliant result.
Ref was a nightmare, booking Kyle and Gallagher for being assaulted WTF!!!!! And Cole being booked for not picking up the ball and taking a throw in when he doesn't even take them, Dycey does. Some amount of pushes into the backs of our players getting nothing and Falkirk getting free kicks for everything, right up ye ya useless prick.
We were amazing chasing everything down and winning nearly every 50 50 ball in midfield, actually deserved to win the game more comfortably than we did, we were by far the better team tonight. Some crazy moments with Cole and someone else giving the ball away that put us under unnecessary pressure but i'll forgive them, they were outstanding, every one of them. I'm buzzing tonight.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
DJ needs a good kick up the back side; he needs to stop playing to the crowd & stick to concentrating on the game.
Pivotal moments tonight were scoring first (superb cross from Keaghan), Declan's block on the line after Cole poor back pass & retaking the lead. We looked dodgy for a short spell after Declan's block but Falkirk didn't really threaten our goal much.
Good hard fought win, despite the complete diddies masquerading as match officials. Hippo should have had a pen in the first half at 1-0; wrestled to the floor but none of the so called officials saw it.
As was mentioned earlier. 2 of our players booked for being assaulted, a number of our players kicked, elbowed & pulled/pushed all over the place & we got next to nothing.
Great win but we need to do it again on Saturday & somehow Cowdenbeath have also started winning & scoring a few goals in doing so.
Houston was a disgrace tonight & seemed to be refereeing it from the touchline.
Time wasting...could have come back to haunt us with all the time added on...much better to be lumping it up the park & out of play or into the corners & holding it up.

Re: Livi v Falkirk
Yeah, I felt Cole and Talbs looked a little dodgy at times tonight, but did enough to correct their errors, so overall solid enough. Very good tackle from Talbs (or was it Kyle) on their boy in the 2nd half, by the tunnel, but one of their boys reacted like a total prick. Tbh, it's often the same from Falkirk. Moaning, greeting, arrogant wanks on the pitch and especially on the bench, and often enough it comes back to bite em on the arse. Scottish football is absolutely littered with bitter wanks in the stands but Partick Thistle, Dunfermline and themselves are the worst. About time we gave them a doing. As for Falkirk, to make use of my new favourite phrase:
Fuck off and die
Also, I bloody love Jason Talbot. Been here a long time, and he's a real part of the club. Give him a new contract regardless of where we are come May.

Yeah it was kyle that slid in with a great tackle over by the tunnel, then got assaulted by Vaulks and received a yellow card along with Vaulks. Apparently in the refs world you get booked for being kicked along with the boy that kicked you when the ball isn't even in play.

Aye, that's the one. Was an utter joke, as was the one between Morgan and Gallagher. What Deks did to get a yellow card along with Kyle...ref was an utter clown at times. I thought we were very neat and tidy, but Falkirk constantly seemed to be squaring up to our lads and getting involved in off the ball scuffles. They're a bit tiresome at times that mob.

Can't help but get carried away but we've a few tough games to play, Sevco, Hibs and QoS. If we show the same desire and commitment as our last 3 games though then it could happen. Just have to take one game at a time, if we can win against Cowden then the great escape is on.
